I am new to mining but I have decided to give it a try with an used AvalonMiner 741.

I have a place where to set it where no one will be bothered by the noise.

An lte modem like the MiFi is what I am planning to use to bring internet there
https://store.gl-inet.com/collections/travel-routers/products/gl-mifi-4g-smart-router?variant=3077071732763
from what I understood what I need is a stable internet connection,  do you think this is an option, or should I go for normal internet?

The pool I should join is slushpool.

For the static ip address I can use this service
https://www.dynu.com

The avalon miner has a raspberry as a controller, is it possible to make it run through tor? This is the only topic I found
https://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/3608/pool-mining-through-the-tor-network

Is it better to use a router with DD-WRT and set the vpn there instead of torify?

I really like reading this forums, lots of info and sometimes the occasional post from Satoshi appears in the search, ultra cool!!!

I suggest that you move this thread to the mining section of the forum, where many experienced miners hang around and can help you.

You need ethernet connection for your miner. Is that router directly connected to your phone line, or you are going to use it as WIFI bridge?
Its recommended to be stable ethernet connection, so your shares don't get stale.

Not really good if you going to use the 4g signal because for me its not really stable and also i suggest to you to use the normal wired internet connection, you need an ethernet cable with stable internet so that you miner could run stable without any issue when running it 24 hours..
Honestly i tried wireless internet before but since my internet data is limited i switch to unlimited wired connection and reduced my rejected stale shares this is just what i experience with wireless and wired connection .

that router has also ethernet connections, I guessed it could be ok since this person here is used a 4g modem too

this is actually what worries me, if the internet connection is stable or not with a 4G
