Technically speaking, is it possible to have one wallet for all cryptocurrencies?
It is such a big pain that we have to use o many wallets if we want to trade many altcoins.
This depend on the campaign that you joined, bounty campaign can use one wallet for all your campaign, mostly ether wallet is the common requirements if your to join country campaign but in signature campaign strictly one wallet address per username, in the event that you try to register your 2 account with the same wallet address the campaign manager would detect you, normally they put you in their blacklisted list so much better if always follow instructions.

Exodus and Jaxx are two desktops multi crypto wallet that you can use, but I don't recommend that you put or store your coins in just one wallet, it might compromise all your coins and you will be left empty handed, like an investment you must not put all your eggs in one basket.

Theoretically someone could create a single wallet. Hardware wallets are similar to this already with several coins they support, but they don’t support all of them. With new coins being created all the time, it would be hard to constantly update to accommodate all those coins. I think it would be feasible to support toe top 20 coins or even more than that so it would make storing keys easier.

Coinomi is a multi coin wallet but you can't store all the crypto currencies in there only the supported currencies can be stored. But I think it is impossible to create one wallet to store all the crypto currencies since there are lots of new altcoins are created day by day.

Before owning bitcoins you need a place where you can store your coins which called wallet . Every bitcoin wallet contains one or more private kyeys which are the saved in wallet file . A private key is the context of bitcoin is a secret number that allows bitcoin to be spent. The private keys are mathematically related to all bitcoin addresses generated for the wallet. Multi Wallet is not a good option as each wallet should have its private key.

It can be possible but do you think having only one wallet is safe to use? What if your wallet got hacked? How can you accept if it happen? For me, it is good to have many wallets so that you can atleast recover some of your altcoins in case hackers or phishing site enter in your account. Don't you agree?

I think it's possible, but some users suggested that it's better to have multiple wallets because it is more secured. In some instances whenever someone hacked your wallet then not all your coins will be stolen.

I think now such a wallet is not needed. At the moment, there are a lot of unnecessary coins that will soon disappear!

For altcoins and new coins you can have myetherwallet. For Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin and Bitcoin Cash you can have coinbase wallet.
I strongly advise you to have two or three wallets if you want to store lump sum crypto for security reasons.

Good question, now crypto coins hackers are very active if we keep all our coins in one wallet then it will become easy for them to take all our coins in one try. So this is not good for crypto users having multiple wallets and storing our coins in different wallets is safe for us.

Actually it is not possible. Many crypto moneys have different structures and need to be used in their own wallets. If you give an example, you can collect the same wallet as the erc 20 tokens, but you need a different wallet for the others.

There's no impossible when it comes to technology. However this kind of scenario would be more possible but it will take a lot of time because of the tons of regulations.

As far as i can tell only blockchain.info is offering a multi cryptocurrency wallet where Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash and Ethereum are the coins that you can be able to exchange and sell there.

It is possible that in the future there is a wallet that supports all cryptocurrency. Currently I think the wallet application is currently expanding
You can use one wallet for your ERC20-based coins like MEW. However, I don't think using one wallet for all your coins is recommended because what if your wallet got hacked? All your coins will be gone. I think it is better to use multiple wallets. Much better if you invest on a hardware wallet.

I think for now it is impossible and if ever someone will create a wallet with all your cryptos, don’t you think it is too risky? Like for example, you lost or forgot your private keys then all of your money and investment will be gone too. The good thing about having different wallets is if you forget one, there is a tendency that you can still recover it and you have other wallets that stores your other coin too. You don’t get to lose everything.

Presently, there is no wallet which can hold all the cryptocurrencies in existence but some hold more than others. I know somewhere soon along the line someone will develop one that will though.

There are wallets that offers different cryptocurrencies but they are only limited. They offer only applicable crypto to the specific location or country. But I do hope so there app developer could make it possible. Having all the cryptos in one wallet will be less hassle. Less chances of forgetting the account names and passwords and for better security.

Wallets need to know how to generate new addresses and check for incoming transactions, and should verify that transactions (and also if possible blocks) are valid, so they will need to know some important information about each coin. Some coins which are simple forks of each other don't require much extra info, just the difference in magic bytes, port numbers, chain parameters, etc. While others which have much larger changes like those with different mining algorithms, different transaction structures, different signature algorithms etc would require more in depth implementation as well. So in general no, a wallet can't trivially accept all currencies, each requires implementation.
