Well i think it is possible, because a wallet is only a storage unit so one can create this, and i think that there is one already, but as far as i am using I have separate wallets for my tokens and bitcoin. Creating a wallet that can hold all kinds of cryptos will be phenomenal because there is no hassle of accessing multiple wallets just to get your tokens.

Hi,

For me, this seems impossible if you really own several different cryptos. I guess that what you want is variety, and at the same time so easy way to manage all that.

Well, for now I think that most platform won't allow you to have that many different cryptos in your wallet. I guess that it is hard technically. Or maybe more profitable for them to see their users split between several wallet..

Depends on what you define as a wallet. Its certainly possible for online wallets to include as many cryptos as they want. The users don't have to have much resources to use them. For desktop wallets, full nodes could be quite a lot harder, especially with the fact that some blockchains could take up quite a significant space.

Exodus is a wallet that does this. I wouldn't consider it as secure since it is a server validation wallet.

I would recommend using a trusted crypto currency exchange
to store all your bitcoin and altcoins in one place for easy usage
to access your cryptos, allot of trusted exchange is out there to choose from.

Code:

Technically speaking, is it possible to have one wallet for all cryptocurrencies?

It is such a big pain that we have to use o many wallets if we want to trade many altcoins.

Technically, it is almost impossible. some wallets providers are trying to do so, but the amount of coins are growing with their own platform and their own unique codes. the wallets sometime needs to adapt, but not always up to date. moreover, if you are in bounty programs, they ask you to use their own wallet and in the end, you need more than one wallet.

i think  it is not possible. Many crypto moneys have different structures  Smiley   and i think  it's better to have multiple wallets because it is more secured.  Much better if you invest on a hardware wallet.

Seems like this could potentially be a recipe for disaster for the coin owner.

One wallet for all the crypto's I don't think so it is possible because one wallet can have maximum only a few coins and that too only major coins like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Monero, and Ripple. Yes but if you are insisting to store you can use exchange where there are options to keep many cryptocurrencies under one roof for a particular period of time, But it is not advisable to store your coins in exchange as it is risky to store over there. I am using Zebpay and Ledge Nano s for storing multiple coins and apart from major coins, I use Stocks.exchange.

Yes it  is possible but that is not the best because if somebody trace your private key, then your account will be emptied and that will be a huge loss on your part.

One wallet address to have or control crypto coin, is not possible, Even using Ethereum wallet, it can not accept bitcoin on ETH wallet address, and beside it is over load given to that wallet and for saver used is good to have difference types of wallet as a crypto investors.

One option could be to install every wallet separately onto a very large USB drive. I mean, you're not having one wallet, but you do have a way to access them all.
Besides, you're not going to use every crypto that's out there, it's just not possible from a practical point of view.

I would also not be surprised if there are going to be more hardware wallets that will have support for maybe 50 coins in the future.

It is really possible to have one wallet for all cryptos but I think it is advisable to have atleast 2 or more. You just have to make sure to secure the private key and password. These two is really important so that only you can access your mew and at the same time you can save your coins privately.

My advice is to use two or three wallets for all your coins. You can try to use for example Binance. There are a lot of coins which are supported by this service. But even Binance will not satisfy you in full extent.

Because of the private key with many characters it is good to have one wallet for all your cryptos , but the question is does it really safe in that one wallet from hackers, I have  friends which are victims of those hackers ,their coin lost , the better they have another wallet not all their coins was taken out , so it is your choice one wallet or two.

It's quite possible to have a single wallet that can hold all cryptos, but each crypto would still need its own particular type of address within that wallet, e.g. NEO, ETH and ADA addresses, as these are not intercompatible. Most exchanges approach the functionality you look for, usually allowing you to store dozens of different cryptos in one place, e.g. Bittrex and Binance.

Although it is technically feasible, there needs to be enough support for a crypto to make its implementation worthwhile for the devs, so unless they stand to benefit in some way, they probably wouldn't add it to the roster.

Yes it is possible, you can use m.e.w. or myetherwallet for any cryptocurrency you want to hold but the down side of using one wallet for all of your coins is that, you can be hacked so easily so just use multiple wallets for your different coins.

Well for the moment I dont think there is such thing as a wallet to hold all crypto aside from wallets from exchanges. If you really wanted to hold all your assets in one place, try placing it in exchanges, most of your coins may be accepted but only those which are in the trade already.

It would be nice to keep all your currencies in one single wallet..It's technically feasible, but I do not think it will actually happen.
