Would you key in on an ICO project that is backed up by Gold and focused on the remittance industry?

It does not have to backed by gold. Just like any other money changer or money transmittal service, the key is instant/fast and at the same time with minimal loss in value.

ETHA remittance solutions plan to focus on key demographic areas  with the help of partners.

if the project can be backed up by gold and verified by trusted party, then it will surely gain the trust of many people. more so, the project will get a lot of investors.  the only drawback with this system is the value of the coin will be tied to the value of gold. in cryoto, we would like the value of each coin to increase as more and more people buy the coin increasing the demand.

I don't think there is any project backed by Gold..
even the stable coins like Tether which claims to be backed up by USD reserves has still not proved the existence of billions of dollars deposits (except a letter from a bank in a remote Island country)

In the blockchain, there are already many projects that want to make instant and secure transfers, if this can be understood, first of all the crypto strive for complete independence.

No doubt that remittance is one of the major category where blockchain and crypto payments can easily become the market leader because it can provide hassle free, fast and cheap global transfers and at the same time its shocking to see still no major crypto taking over this niche but im sure in future this niche will belong to crypto.

I’ll tell you right away the topic of money transfers using Blockchain technology, this is exactly the solution that almost all financial systems in each country need, because remittances take a lot of time and effort, for example, a Swivt transfer takes from 1 to 5 days, and this is a very long time, and with the help of Blockchain technology, this transfer will take less than a minute, which is why I believe that this area requires modernization and it will achieve it using cryptocurrency.

Many projects are now going for financial inclusion and remittance using blockchain technology is great. With blockchain, fees would be much cheaper and some projects like Telcoin have already making progress and would be a major player in remittance industry in the next two years. Telcoin have already NDA with some telco companies.

Nope, being backed by gold limits potential price increase. Also stablecoins are doing great with remittances, and bitcoin was already used for that in 2013. Nothing innovative...

All I hear why remittances hasn't taken hold on any of the blockchain projects is that cryptocurrencies are too volatile to be practical as a payment solution AND that is why some sectors are pushing for a "stablecoin."

Maybe finance history is mostly obscured now since in the beginning, trading of national currencies were at one time very volatile too. Only after the UN agreements where countries were able to stabilized their currencies.

ETHARemit.org recognizes this fact and is working on the eventuality that it will also happen to crypto too.

No or I mean never because most of these gold backed up ICOs didn't became successful. And for those remittance based ICOs or projects, all of them are focusing on it and there's no need to choose on what coin to support with this project. All of them are based on this kind of blockchain and competition makes them crowded so I don't think that I'll key on an ICO that promotes these two. It's just me and you can still pursue on this one if you think its helpful.

I think I heard of some crypto projects before that are supposed to be backed by gold but after some time they always turn out to be a scam. But actually there's a potential market for that if only there will be an honest company who would be willing to do that but of course companies do ICO to earn millions of dollars. It will be good though if a company will do that honestly.

I believe there are already some (if not many) cryptocurrency projects that are actually backed up by valuable metal, the latest project I know is GFUND. The problem with the idea of this kind of crypto is."do we really need this? is there any investors that actually willing to buy this kind of coin? I mean, I would rather buy the real Gold or Silver or anything if I have the money, rather than put more risk by buying cryptocurrency that claimed to be backed up by those real Gold.

Not entirely true. There is one project right now that is supported by PPT token which is XAUp backed by gold. This is the thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5100378.0
I search google to finally find it to show it to users here. ITs thier bounty thread though but then PPT is successful enough in this field and I'm pretty sure this XAUp will also be. Remittance isn't a unique project these days though.

Maybe if i see that the ICO was followed all the necessary requirements for doing crowdfunding events! In my country all crowdfunding events like ICO,STO etc. are regulated buy our S.E.C thats why the future investors can rely their trust about the project. Specially when the platform that has conducting and ICO was Back up by real asset like gold and focus on remitance industry thats quite awesome I think definitely i will participate if they meet the following requirements above.
