It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

If you have a clue as to what it is then refer it to a professional like Dave at wallet recovery services, but they can only work on it if you give them some ideas to work with from likely choices of password or half remembered ones. If you literally have no idea of a single character then it's toast.

yeah we created a list of all the types of things I would use as passwords and all the passwords I can remember and ran it for two months...no luck.

I thought someone would want to take a crack at it, but I guess they would need a quantum computer to have a chance!

Yeah, since like this is shooting in the dark. I mean you can let your computer to do brute force for years as it would have to guess all types of
combinations. Since we don't know how large it is and other info, in case you can't crack it at least try to have a copy somewhere cuz in future you might be able to crack it.

Any idea why you chose to add a completely new password and not make a note of it? I'm not dissing you, just curious. I've inserted a newly minted password only for it to vanish completely from my mind within a few days multiple times. These days I'm so senile that I don't do anything without a backup or a reminder somewhere.

And did it not give you a seed when you created it?

I don't think there is any way to retrieve that lost btc. So sorry to hear you lost so much. Now you should just count your losses and move on, continue to work towards getting more btc. Although you should post it, so the geniuses will take a crack at it

That's a lot of bitcoins going to waste right there, such a waste. I don't believe there is a way to get it back because they were built that way so people cannot get at your coins.
