Nice - making a table of it. To make formatting better you can use code tags, Watts . Mhps . Watts/Mhps . Mhps/Watt 530 . 800 . 0.663 . 1.509 433 . 780 . 0.555 . 1.801 439 . 800 . 0.549 . 1.822 300 . 723 . 0.415 . 2.410 520 . 800 . 0.650 . 1.538 820 . 1400 . 0.586 . 1.707 285 . 281 . 1.014 . 0.986 372 . 614 . 0.606 . 1.651 574 . 824 . 0.697 . 1.436 563 . 1135 . 0.496 . 2.016 800 . 1760 . 0.455 . 2.200 701 . 1200 . 0.584 . 1.712 785 . 1200 . 0.654 . 1.529 640 . 1268 . 0.505 . 1.981 .... . Average: 0.602 . 1.736 Though it's still a bit tricky as you need to adjust the spaces. Also it might be nice to have a column referring to cfg., eg. 2x5830

I'm curious of what those two setups are hardware wise. Looking back in the thread they appear to be, 2x5870,1x5830 = 1135 @ 563 and 4x5870 = 1760 @ 800 I'm working towards a 4x5830 so these figures are looking good to me. Seeing how good the 4x5870 power input is I may have been better going that route.

I'd leave my 540MH / 530W off the list, it's a poor example since my base system uses ~200W of that. Working on getting a third rig up and running to get those cards out of my server anyway, my UPS hates them! [edit] This might do well on a wiki-style page somewhere like the HW comparison guide, so that no one person need feel like it's their job to keep it up to date. That, and these numbers may change as posters realize their mh/w ratio sucks balls and work to improve it

I had hoped to have all types of measurements so people could really see the top, bottom and middle ground. So far I really don't mind updating the google doc. Maybe at some point if wanted/needed I'll share it with a few others so a team keeps it updated. In that spirit here's the public link to the spreadsheet: https://spreadsheets.google.com/spreadsheet/pub?hl=en_US&hl=en_US&key=0AkBJ2-x_lf01dGxaSFRjS2p1ckV5YmotLXU2UDZNenc&output=htmlI hope more of you put in details on your PSU as that seems to make a large difference.

I'll be glad to take the 530W/540MH off if you insist, but frankly this is not a race to only put in the best IMHO. I had hoped to have all types of measurements so people could really see the top, bottom and middle ground.
That's understandable, you can go ahead and leave it in if you wish. Perhaps there should be some context for the numbers added, but this could get really cumbersome. For example, that 540MH / 530W setup is: 2x 5830's @ 270MH/card, clocks 875/1000mhz gpu/ram 6x 1TB HDDs (most are 'low power' versions) 1x Opteron 6128 ( 8 cores @ 2.0ghz each ) 4x 4GB DDR3-1333 RAM 4x 120MM 2400+ RPM fans, 4x 60MM high-flow fans lined up in the card gap Corsair HX650 80+ Bronze 650W 'professional series' Certainly some highly-pertinent information can be gleaned from there, such as the ~200W for that base system, but doing so could quickly become really tedious

Certainly some highly-pertinent information can be gleaned from there, such as the ~200W for that base system, but doing so could quickly become really tedious In the spirit of keeping things as simple/readabel as possible I just added "NOT JUST MINING" to the front of your Rig descriotion. Is that an apropriate "fix"? I thought that putting the Member's name/handle would allow those who wanted more information the ability to go look up further details. And again thanks to all for contributing such valuable data to allow us to glean some actual information. We now have 18 data points and that means to me that we are just starting to become "statistically significant". 8^)
