Ledger Nano.

As you can pay for an iOS, i strongly recommend buying a safe hardware wallet for your coins.
This is the best wallet for iOS.

If you do not want the best, there are few options.

None of them are very good.... I would keep my coins in a more trusted legacy wallet like blockchain.info until buying a ledgernano.

Thanks for the link. And yes, the Ledger Nano is great. I have a Trezor (supports SegWit) myself. However, I also need a hot wallet for my iPhone so I always have some Bitcoin with me. I'm currently using the Bitcoin.com wallet, which I like, but it doesn't support SegWit.

Ledger Nano is great, it's OK. You haven't specified that what kind of iOS you have but as I read the above mentioned things I think you have some kind of laptop (sorry macbook Smiley ) or desktop, because you can use the Trezor (need for a full sized USB connector on your machine).
I'm just wondering if something like micro USB to apple lightning connector exist or not, but I would guess not, because on the android you can use the USB OTG function to connect your ledger Nano s or Trezor to e.g. a Mycelium mobile wallet, but I don't really know if it's possible on an iPhone or not. (Probably not).
Maybe if you want a hardware wallet, the Ledger Blue with bluetooth connection can be an option, but (this is just my opinion) I won't use any hardware wallet with bluetooth connection, I don't trust the bluetooth technology enough.
Maybe if you want to use a hot wallet on the iPhone, you can check if any of them can use your fingerprint for login and for confirmation

Bitwala wallet is SegWit activated, it is easy to use. You can set your fee as desired and the confirmation after transfer is usually fast. It served as a great relief to me during bitcoin high network fee and it was fast in confirmation.

Yeah, and best part of it - Coinomi supports SegWit, so it's great option for OP to use on iOS. It's also my favourite wallet for smartphones.
But still, I wouldn't recommend to keep big amounts of money on mobile wallet. It would be safer to use desktop wallet. Or better - purchase hardware wallet or just create paper wallet to use as cold storage.

I use this rule:
Never keep more than your smartphone is worth in a mobile wallet.

I think it's safe to use this rule .

I use a hardware wallet for my main funds.

Also , I forgot to mention. Ledger nano is a segwit that supports iOS.

There is no IOS version of electrum so only 2 coinomi and green address is working well with IOS phones.

Anyway, here is the list of wallets that you can use for IOS here https://bitcoin.org/en/wallets/mobile/ios/

I use a hardware wallet for my main funds.

Also , I forgot to mention. Ledger nano is a segwit that supports iOS.
The rule I like to use is I don't store more than I'm willing to lose in a mobile wallet, just like if I were gambling. Every time I put funds into my hot wallet, I make sure I am okay with potentially losing the money I put into the wallet, then I send the funds.

Paper wallets are just fine if you're not planning to use your funds often in cold storage- they're great for long-term HODLing, but make sure you're laminating the wallet and putting it in a spot that's not humid, dark and cool. If you occasionally need to use your funds, hardware wallets are a good option. I personally have a combination of the two.

Also, when you're generating a new hardware wallet, double- or triple-check the recovery seed you're writing down. If you don't, and your hardware wallet's lost and/or broken, you'll permanently lose your funds.

A good idea is to create the wallet and write the seed down.

Then reset the wallet, and restore it using the seed.

Now you are 100% sure your seed is correct.

Never thought of that, thanks for the tip! I've had to restore a hardware wallet before, and I was correct with the seed that one time as I was diligent writing down the seed, but this is a step further! I'll definitely keep this in my head for whenever I'm setting up a new hardware wallet, for myself or someone else.
