Verified with electrum. Regarding how this campaign works regarding stakes/BTC: The payout is in BTC at the end of the 3 weeks (paid within about 7 days). For example signature campaign is 40% of the 1 BTC. This would be 0.4 BTC allocated at the end of the 3 week period. If there is a total of 200 stakes at the end, and you earned 18 stakes (say from 6 stakes per week), then it is 0.4 divided by 200 multiplied by 18, or 0.036 BTC or approximately $400 at current value. If there are too many or too little participants that would be heavily skewed beyond typical bounty payments, then we may adjust it accordingly to be fair. Update March 5: Quora campaign removed due to lack of interest. 5% allocation consolidated into the 5% translation allocation. We are paying flat BTC for the various languages, not stakes, since we have a known request for 9 different languages total. Also, the total 5% misc allocation will be used to cover transaction fees, but in particular to be potentially moved into other allocations at the end of the campaign to adjust for fairness (in case of over-participants in one particular section). Update March 6: Due to differentiating expectations and low application count for our translation portion of this BTC-based bounty, we have temporarily suspended the translation bounty. We will likely initiate a new token-based bounty campaign for translation in a separate upcoming bounty campaign (in 1-3 weeks). Stay tuned for more information. It is to the best of my knowledge that I did not spam the forums. The stakes operate in a similar fashion as other bounties, except instead of allocated tokens, it is BTC. Bounty activities will determine one's stake in the offered BTC during the end of the campaign period. I apologize if this is misleading being how unique it is -- this is due to the nature of recent SEC regulations concerning token-based compensation of bounties. Through discussion with our bounty manager, we determined that it is best we posted in the Services section due to BTC payment and not tokens. Our appointed manager will be communicating in this thread as well but is currently in working offset hours. Thanks for your patience. |
