you cant consume alcohol at any bar or restaurant unless you bought it there.

Legally, the pub or restaurant is allowed to make up their own mind on this issue.

    They can legally confiscate it for the duration of your visit but they must return it to you when you leave.
    They can legally allow you to consume it but charge you a “corkage fee”, to make up for lost profits.
    They can legally throw you out and refuse to serve you at all.
    They can legally allow you to drink your own alcohol on the premises without charging you a fee. (Muslim restaurant owners will often do this; where their religion disallows them to sell alcohol but they still permit people to drink it on the premises).

You will usually find that a restaurant will allow you to bring your own wine (with or without a corkage fee) to consume with a meal, but bringing your own alcohol to a pub would almost certainly get you kicked out.
