If you don't need you can give it to me)))
And seriously, look for coins, that are already exchangeable, main coins like BTC, ETH, NEO, you may also participate in ICO, but choose it very attentively not to be scammed. Diversify your money, don't invest everything in one coin!
Success to you)
True. One must always distribute his/her investments in more than one coin. Never invest in single coin as it increases the risk of losing money though there are also chances of profit. Distributing your investment in various coins can save you from massive loss and also if one coin doesn’t perform well, atleast the others will. Also before investing, do the analysis and research about the coins you are thinking to invest in. it gives a rough idea about what the coin will cost in near future which is also called as price speculation.

What you need to do is research for at least a month before you buy anything. That way you will not make the same mistakes that me and many other did when first started trading altcoins, which means buying coins when they where all time high and getting our money stuck in these coins for very long time, if they ever will go up again. If you take a month just study the market and any coins you are interested investing in as well as read here on the forum.

I think you should invest all of them on ETH. It does not bring huge profits like other altcoins but it is quite safe

you have 2 choices for me the first one is you can put your money via trading , if you have an idea on how trading works and you need an day to day income you better choose trading , another one is to invest it with a good ICO , with that you will earn but you need to wait 2 to 3 months for you to withdaw your earnings.

$ 5000 to invest is really good money, under the current circumstances, most of the altcoins will make you money.

If you have much times use this money to do day trading, and to more easy to trade chooce some potential coins that paired with USDT, so this pair will help for newcomer in day trading to trade more efisien because we only make analysis in 1 coin in every trade. Day trading actually promising higher profit than make invest in ICO and long term hold. And divide that money in to 5 different coins, so  reduce the risk.

I agree with you. But I do not recommend to trade for the whole sum. It is better to divide it. But it's up to you.

I would invest in bitcoin and take the profit in about a year. Because from year to year it invariably grows in price

Id first advice you to do your research on the crypto market and make independent and informed personal decision. having said that, $5k is a good amount to start on. you can divide it ad diversify your investment. put money in the coins you consider most promising.

The same way, 70% into top coins, 30% into upcoming ICO's. I guess sounds pretty easy) good luck

Dude it is huge amount of money for me, i hope you will success with your investment. first, always diversify your investment, invest in coin already exchangeable, and put it also in some ICO, but really carefully where you invest in ICO for avoiding scam and fraud, and let it grow at least a year. and let it go let it grow.

There are still good and profitable ICOs out there you can still invest your money. My only advice is that you can invest $3000 on ICOs and $2000 on good altcoins.

It will be extremely difficult for the newbie to understand if the ICO is good or if it is a scam. Thus, I would better recommend spending this money for altcoins and Bitcoins. The proportion can be like this: 30% BTC, 30%ETH, 20% Monero+ other alts.

I think all these 1 post I have $$$ to spend threads are bullshit. With that being said right now just buy BTC during Dips while researching projects. don't take anyone's advice on where to put your money, all of them can burn you including BTC.

Diversification is the main thing in this case. My opinion: 50% - BTC, 20% - ETH, 30% - other coins (old and the newest, and some money for ICO).

I think if you new in crypto, and if you interest to invest in ICO, you must Research and learn about Crypto a lot. and you need to really carefully where invest in ICO for avoiding scam and fraud. In my oppinion  you can make proportion to invest like this : 25% for BTC, 25% for ETH, 25% for other coin, and 25% in bank.

You can go all in for ETH and IOTA they are really cheap for now. And you will double your money in a month or 2 months.
Or you can simply but BTC and HODL until 20k
Not only ETH and IOTA, but all other crypto currencies are running quite low as the market is in a free fall. This is the best time to buy and get profit. I trust ETH, BTC and IOTA, but I wouldn’t bet investing all 5000 dollars in them. I would rather buy coins that have real applications in real world such as XRP and ONT. ONT is a new project launched on NEO blockchain and has real world application and is quite cheap right now. Its best time to get in both. Distribute investment in these 5 and you will be sitting on profit at the end of the year.

If I were you, I'd spend $4000 for Bitcoin and put them in a secure hardware wallet (Ledger Nano S only costs 70EUR, by the way). The rest $1000 is for altcoin with huge multiplier potential. My personal choice for now is WABI and BAT. WABI is currently sitting on 190 marketcap rank, defintiely undervalued given their consistent development. BAT is the same, while not severely undervalued like WABI, I think it should value more. Do your research for both coins and thank me later Wink

I'm not a professional financial advisor. Do it with your own risk.
Small amount for altcoins investment is fine, but I wouldn’t bet 4000 dollars investment on bitcoin. Rather I would trust coins like XMR and NEO to distribute the amount that you are planning to but In bitcoin. One can never say how long bitcoin will be able to hold the top position as its getting surrounded by government and news from media and social FUD.

Better to distribute 5000$ in equally in 5-7 different altcoins. In that way you will mostly be in profit and even if one coin fails, it shouldn’t affect your portfolio much.

This question is very subjective. You should start investing on Coins that you believe in. You have to assess it yourself. Don't let the hype dictate you. It can never go wrong if you 100% believe in your coin. Just make sure that it's not a scam coin and legit team
