OWLSTAND token: as a utility (a user case)

On Owlstand platform, users do peer-to-peer transaction with each other, and the platform shall not (be able to) take commission. The peer-to-peer transaction fee is only paid to the network. To maintain the platform, Owlstand sells tokens to its users. So users need to have Owlstand tokens to enter the site to conduct business activities.

Owlstand can be a third party signature signer for approving transactions. For example, buyer Alice decides to buy a painting from artist Bob. Alice sends 1 BTC to a multisig wallet, Bob sends the painting to Alice, and Owlstand will sign the transaction. If Bob fails to send the painting to Alice, Owlstand will disapprove the transaction, and the 1 BTC will be returned to Alice. Owlstand can be a trusted escrow, however, Owlstand don’t hold any of its users’ fund, nor need to ask for users’ identity.

Hello, it's not a hard cap, it's a cap for the "spend-all" second-price Dutch auction.

Our auction is very similar to the Polkadot dutch auction, means the 22m usd will gradually decrease until it meets the total amount raised in 8 days.

I havea question about escrow which is part of Owlstand service. How are you going to decide in which case you disapprove transaction and when the painter still gets the payment even though the buyer is not fully satisfied. I guess this will be a rare occasion but it can happen.

yes, we really don't want to scare investors with the number "$22million". It will drop dramatically at the beginning, and hopefully the cap will meet the amount raised soon.

Although we approach shall be different as we are using crypto and blockchain. In the future, we could use smart contract or other services to handle problems like this.

well, a decision for art and blockchain together. Very interesting idea, but I guess for artists and people devoted to arts, it may be a bit difficult to understand the blockchain schemes.
