I want to send out a bitcoin article to friends to let them know what I've been up to.  I was going to just link them to the http://www.cnbc.com/id/43823614 article that came out today, but I thought I'd better consult the community to find out what the best bitcoin article would be.  I found this CNBC article to lack a bit of bite when it comes to the 'screw the central bank' portion of bitcoin.  Anyone got any great bitcoin articles they can link me to?  I haven't found 'the one' yet.

This really depends on the kind of audience you are talking to. Geeks will be more interested in mining and an economist will want probably want to know more about the market and other currency related details. But overall, I like that cnbc article Smiley

Be careful how you present bitcoin to people.  Most people don't like to be sold on something and will put up resistance if you try to push bitcoin in a very direct manner.  People are much more receptive when they feel they've reached an epiphany on their own and with bitcoin, anyone that is reasonably intelligent and somewhat literate will ultimately arrive at the same conclusions as you have.  Think more in terms of the movie Inception.

Bitcoin doesn't actually need any more "marketing" in my opinion.  We already have a self sustaining and growing economy.  People just need to try and spend their bitcoins a little more often than they sell them on the exchanges.  That alone is all that's necessary to keep expanding the bitcoin economy.  If people do that, then bitcoin will be impossible for people to ignore.

don't forget the podcasts also.  easy to listen to in the car or train.

Gavin's interview by Russ Roberts is good.

also Gavin's interview by Omega Tau was also excellent altho more technical.
