I'm not convinced that p2pool is reporting the pool hash rate correctly. Currently shows 720 Mhash/s, & I'm mining with 620 Mhash/s. I'm sure there's more than 120 more out there.

Add your hash rate to this thread if you're mining on p2pool now and prove me right / wrong!  Smiley

Thanks!

hiniyuika is mining at 430 MH/s, so the least total should be 1050 MH/s if it's just us 2!

Currently shows as 658 MH/s.

I know "luck" is involved, but I think we are being under reported.  Sad

It shows:
15:15:59        gribble | 762454.535

I am going to do a short run at 360-370

Gribble is dead Smiley but from p2poo screen I can see

Code:
Pool rate: 528 mhash/s 30336 shares Contribution: 0.00% >0 mhash/s

I am going at  [(5s):362.8  (avg):361.5 Mh/s]

Thanks for adding, EskimoBob.

So, as I understand it, the individual rate is:
(Your shares / pool shares) * pool rate

But what is the pool rate?

Is the issue that the shares are of varying difficulty, making it harder to work out?

Could always look at the source, I guess.  Roll Eyes

There is a problem with miner programs (phoenix most definitely) creating a lot of stale p2pool shares. These decrease the perceived overall hashrate, which is only based on non-stales.

I'm working on a fix for this. Also, I was contributing 400MH/s until 30 hours ago.

My hash rate has improved 4x by switching to poclbm, but it's still 66% of potential - that's a lot of stales.

Looking forward to the fix... Wink

I'm using a 5670 (oc'ed to 900 MHz => 101 mhash/s)  and Diablo miner. I can confirm the wrong showed pool mhash/s and contributed stats when using cgminer.

All problems relating to stales are fixed if you get the newest p2pool version from http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=18313.0 and pay attention to the 'Miners' section there. cgminer works as is, but the other major ones need a patch (which is there for all of them)

Memory usage is significantly decreased in the latest release, so I think that with this, it's ready to take off!
