if by that you mean can eth compete with bitcoin, well long term I think it will be difficult but I cant see it going anywhere soon. If from your comment you were referring to the fact eth a few weeks ago was looking like it was forcing a flippening and now its value in relation to bitcoin is in decline I think this is expected. Bitcoin has hit the 200 day moving average 3 times in the past just as eth was beginning to hunt it down and that triggers a bull run.
