Firstly, it is the ease of using Binance. It has a beautiful user interface which is really easy and nice to use.
Secondly, it has huge volume on its exchange. Everyone wants to trade on an exchange that has liquidity as selling on such exchanges doesn't cause huge drops in price and are more trustworthy in the eyes of traders.

Binance is popular because its trading fees and the rules for listing any coin on binance. Binance only list good coins on exchange thats why more people trust binance, also has very good GUI and trend. which gives advantage to traders.

I have tried several of the new exchanges which have been released recently and the major complaint that I have is the slowness of them with having all the trading pairs available does cause their gui interface to be unusable.
I find binance very quick and responsive to what I am trying to do even on a slow computer.
So I would rather stay with them and they have a lot more alt coin available than your normal exchange does.
