Callisto (CLO) just forked at block 5500000. Everyone who held ETC in their wallet at the time of the fork got CLO 1:1 with ETC.

It's going to trade on Yobit and HitBTC anytime now.

What do you think about this new cryptocurrency? Are you going to hold or sell?

I think! Like BTC fork! All fork coin are valid but not equivalent to ETC. Same as ETH and ETC

I will not sell anyway. The ETC coin is highly undervalued, most likely the rate after Airdrop will fall. But still it will recover and fly away higher.

I do not think this will be a successful event. If it is supported and listed on Binace or Bittrex, it would be a remarkable and attention-grabbing idea. But this event still attracts many people interested and wants to own ETC to be able to get the CLO.

Hoping I receive mine in myetherwallet. I will hold for possible future gains and may buy more on dips. I think kucoin exchange may be listing this fork.

Our team is glad to announce that we’re getting down to the launch of the Callisto coin test network by the developers of Ethereum Classic.
There is a common misconception that Callisto is an ETC fork. But actually, it is an absolutely new blockchain worked out for testing experimental protocols, possible scaling solutions and creating management systems that would have a PoW/PoS Hybrid Algorithm.

The address of the mining pool is as follows: www.clopool.pro.
You can test your mining settings with our testnet pool: http://test.clopool.pro

On March 23, 2018 the testnet will be replaced with a mainnet, and tokens will be charged to your wallets. At the moment the coin is already traded at the Yobit Exchange. The HitBTC Exchange has expressed its support for this project and voiced the presence of the coin in the listing after the official start.

Short summary of Callisto:

Number of coins in the block: 600 CLO (30% treasury fee)

POW Algorithm, Dagger Hashimoto (Ethash)

Block interval: 15 seconds

100% compatibility with Etherum Virtual Machine

Max emission of coins: 6,500,000,000 CLO

if an altcoin project were legit, it wouldn't have forked out of another project and would have never used its blockchain. it is like BCH, BTG, ... and all the other forked coins stories all over again. these coins never had any real thing to offer to the world so they tried clinging to another big name when they were created.
