I wanted to set a fixed IP address with the PuTTy app for my brand-new Baikal Giant B (I did it also with my other Giant B, and it works fine.)

It isn't possible anymore to access the Giant B by IP-adress. Not by the advanced IP scanner. Not with the PuTTy app.

The Advanced IP scanner sees the miner, but the icon is grey.
The Baikal Monitor app sees the miner but states: model 'unkown'  and status 'Sick'

I tried to flash the Giant with the latest OrangePi software, but nothing seems to work.

Also I tried all possible solutions from members of bitcointalk.

A new pi-module seems to be the only solution to get the miner working.

Has anyone an other idea to get it working again?

A working solution for me is valuable, so any working tip you can give me is rewarded with 0,01 btc. (or other coin)

I would think you would be able to do a factory reset to the miner. Typically there is a small hole on the miner where you can insert a pin into it and hold down for 30 seconds while the miner is booted. Otherwise I would try swapping out the ethernet cable and connect it to a different port on your switch/router.

Do you have the exact location of that reset button? I don't see it.
Nowhere on the net is info of such a button, are you sure it's there?

The switching of cables/port is the first thing I tried.

I just looked up the manual and there doesn't appear to be a reset button on it like Bitmain has for theirs. It looks like there should be a micro SD card in the miner if you can find that. Then you will need to connect it to your computer and install the latest BIOS/OS onto it.

Are you sure you flashed the SD card with the correct PI software?  Baikal has used a few different models of PIs in their various ASICs.

Here is the correct SD card image for the Giant B:

Hey guys,

I am in this same situation, did the image above help?

I purchased mine locally and I cant get to the interface at all, I also reflashed the sd card and it didnt help. I tried moving it to a different part of the home network and that didnt help either.
