I've had my wallet up and running for almost four days and it's only synced through Feb. 23. It always says "0 connections". Do I need to do something else?

Do you have the latest version of the wallet? https://github.com/MyHush/hush-swing-wallet-ui/releases
Before upgrading, save a backup copy of the private key and the wallet.dat
You can also create a new hush.conf http://myhush.org/config-generator/

I had .70 version. I upgraded to the latest and it will still not sync.

If you saw the state that wallet (beta) was in, you wouldn't mine hush either. Good idea, good project, just seems like no one home and the wallet and support for other wallets is null.

its syncing according to the post above. but NG might be that hardfork you talking about. its still not necessary since all new zcash core can be updated just like any previous regular base release
