My fault, but on bitcoin.com I inadvertently chose BCH not BTC.  I sent to Arcbit wallet which is BTC only.  Am I able to retrieve this?

In my personal experience. In a Transaction in Crypto is certainly not refundable. My example is like you did when sending BCH to BTC. It is your personal mistake as you say. It often happens this problem. Usually before you send a coin there is a warning send to the BCH address for example and you send to BTC your BCH auto address will be lost and no one is responsible in this regard. Therefore, before doing the transaction must always be careful. Hopefully you can be patient in this matter.

Bitcoin and BCash have the same address derivation scheme, so use your private key/seed of the arcbit wallet and import it into a BCash wallet and you'll generate the same address you sent the BCash to on the wallet, then you can access them.

I have recently helped a guy who sent his BTC to BCH address. I never used ArcBit so I don't know whether or not you have your seed or private keys. If you do, it will be fairly easy to recover your Bitcoin Cash coins as long as you haven't sent it to a SegWit address (starting with 3 or bc1). Follow my instructions from the link below. If you have any questions, feel free to ask us.

I've never faced such problem, but just like you said that was your mistake. As I know wallets do not recover the mistake you did, so I guess those money just got lost forever. Anyway write to the wallet support and I hope they will help you somehow.

Follow the steps here to get the private key for the address you sent the BCH to:
https://airbitz.co/go/faq/how-do-i-get-my-private-key/
Then download Coinomi and sweep the private key to the BCH wallet

No, you won't be able to get those coin back.
You sent some BCH to a BTC address by mistake. But the coins are received not in the BTC address of Arcbit but to a BCH address we don't know who owns or is still unused.

the mistake is already done. You cant reverse the transaction. I hope its not a large sum as it could be really heart breaking. Sorry for your loss but next time be more careful and check on everything before you do your transaction. Sorry once again.

This happens way too often and I believe it is a deliberate attempt to trick people into buying bcash.

Try what some are recommending by importing private key. Best of luck, i hope you get it back.

I have never experienced such a casualty. so I need to make sure first. I still hear this news first. and I am sure that you are required to start doing business again in order not to be too hopeful.

If you only send BCH to own BTC address, so as to save, you only need to BTC private key into the BCH wallet is ok, if transferred to exchange, then you need to link exchange service to solve.
