If you are dealing with a person offline, then it is very doable. But, if you want to ship it to a person outside your local area, you should perhaps look our for an escrow.
An escrow can act as a guarantor which can make both the parties feel secure.
Speaking from my personal experience, I have sold multiple items using BTC on my local portals (OLX and Quikr). The only difference was that I didn't sell BTC in market back then and ended up losing half of the value.
So, I would still prefer to use the FIAT currencies if I am not selling something shady.

Accepting cryptocurrencies for selling goods online on Craigslist or similar platforms is good enough as long as the buyer is ready to pay in one of the cryptos you are ready to accept. This is much safer compared to PayPal as there are no possibilities of chargebacks or any similarities. Alternatively, eBay and its rivals should start accepting cryptocurrency as a definite payment processor which will only improve their overall website usage.

You do not lose anything by trying it out but since the adoption of bitcoin is low you will need to accept other forms of payment or you are not going to get a lot of offers, however it is possible that you get a lot of bitcoin users if you are selling stuff related to bitcoin in some way like some shirts with bitcoin logos and similar stuff like that.

I myself have not tried it yet in my country now many online sellers are starting to receive payments through btc and that's a nice break and the popularity of bitcoin and its kind will keep on increasing, so there's no harm to you to try it.

Actually it's a good idea but the level of security and trust like that can be well preserved, because many things happen in online sales is a disappointment in the form of goods or there are fooled. if I strongly agree and will try to buy via online with the payment of bitcoin, and all that to strengthen the community crypto solideritas or fellow bitcoin users.
why not think of creating a crypto world-specific app for online purchases using bitcoin payments or other crypto money.

With every passing day, we are observing lot more improvements in the crypto market and that things are getting even better for the ones who are there in the world of the crypto currency and that they are very much satisfied with the way bitcoin and other digital coins are performing in the international market. This is just the start and that I am very much sure that the crypto currencies will make much higher name in the future.

Bitcoin is an online currency and is a good alternative for paying online.

Luckily here there are online shops that are accepting bitcoin and as well as physical shops. OP can you update us on how your online shop is doing?

I agree, I doubt I'll have any takers but I'd really like to see btc used as it should

I look everyday for stuff on craigslist now that they have a "cryptocurrency ok" button. Bought a kayak this weekend.

Easily works with person-to-person sales, but hard to bring BTC into your business, as it's kind of illegal, not paying taxes

It does not even have to be a shirt as you can easily sell any other thing and accept payment in bitcoin or cryptocurrency. This is really going to help with adoption a lot in the long run and will give anyone who starts in their own space an edge in the long run as the target will mainly be crypto users and it will be fun to see them using their cryptocurrencies in real life.

Nevertheless, what you have mentioned as well is a good thing and we have seen the likes of purse and some other few enthusiasts and merchants doing that.

Yeah, it could have been implemented which is not false anyway as I have seen a lot of them, but even though it is not a new idea, having a lot of this springing up is not a bad thing at all. The e-commerce sector is extremely big and as far as I am concerned, we are not even close to penetrating it, but gradually as we keep seeing more people popping up, and accepting cryptocurrencies, it would really make a lot of sense for real life usage and adoption.

Hey dudes hope you are well. I sell a lot of things on Craigslist. I am now planning on putting a couple things up and saying I accept btc or eth along with the greenback. Wondering if you guys have tried this. I

I want to believe you went ahead with this your proposal because when the news broke about Criaglist accepting bitcoin, the reception was massive and it would be great if you are one of the early sellers that have started this mode of selling to the general public. To have a dream is not enough sometimes but been ready to push for it ensure that the dream.became a reality. Will be monitoring the activities on the platform to see the reaction of people towards paying for goods using crypto currency.

Yes some country accept Bitcoin for their products but it is in the beginning stage more overall people in the world except Bitcoin is not really they need some more time to realize what happening here if they understood what is and how it can be changed our life very easily if they realize that they will be there most acceptable currencies in this world.

as you said it is not easy to make sales using bitcoin as a means of payment, because not everyone knows and uses bitcoin, you need to introduce bitcoin to the public, so it is possible that your business to make transactions using bitcoin will be a little more smoothly,
