Volume is certainly more important to me than market cap, and is always overlooked when people promote coins. I look at most of the shillings of new coins and they have volumes that are even less than my daily wagerings sometimes on a Bitcoin casino.

That said, it is not necessary for crypto to continue growing, not in my opinion. It is all down to usefulness. Imagine, for example, that is Lightning Network happens with Bitcoin, then so much transactions would move off chain. That would not contribute to volume, but does not mean it is not being exchanged.

I do think that crypto will eventually need large institutions and governments for widespread adoption. I say we're still probably at least five years away from these kind of things happening though.
if you have to wait five more years, it seems good news for all of us, because we already know this cryptocurrency, and that makes us one step ahead of the others who just joined

Did you agree that In order for cryptocurrencies to start growing again, institutional money need to enter the market making the prices soar - That may will cause an  increase in volume, making the big players re-enter the market followed by the new wave of adopters. Wink
What we need is a miracle not the whales. Whether they enter or not, every single day there are new people that are studying and looking what is this technology and how could they benefit from it. So you might say your papa and mama are also interested in this kind of investment, and you might warn them what my comes through.
Crypto is like a virus now, and we can't say when but sooner or later the millennial generation is taking our spot and they could make it better than we have now.

How is that in line with a miracle? You spoke of how adoption is already increasing each day and more and more research is being conducted in to blockchain technology. It seems we just need a mere continuation of the path we are on instead of a miraculous change.

Support is indeed needed. More investors have to pitch in.  Number of countries should increase to adapt crypto currencies. There should be more demand. A good news is,  every year number of people becoming aware of crypto coins is increasing and number of ICOs too.  Hope this ratio doubles up and increases the coins' values.

Institutional money won't enter in alts just as is. They might entry only if bitcoin will rise again for profits as they did in november-january and/or in some promising tech.

it seems that the coin value is still following the condition of Bitcoin. so want as much as any ICO, if Bitcoin prices are still bad, then other coin prices will also worsen

of course, the market cap has reduced from over $500 billion to $370 billion now. there are too many people who scare of the falling of crypto and they has gone away. so now, to increasing the development of crypto, i hope that they will come back and invest in cryptocurrency

I think we should soberly assess the situation. 3-4 months ago we were at the peak of prices, perhaps they were not quite justified from the position of capitalization. And what is now, is just normal.

It is quite possible that the big players themselves started this to weed out the weak players. They discharged the cost of many positions, and then dropped their coins.

Now we are in the stage of correction. Big players will come back when the market normalizes, they just do not want to lose money on speculative events.

Actually big players have long entered but they've acted wildly and always wanted to master and manipulate the market as a whole. For me the presence of big players in the market will only make things worse and it can't be tolerated anymore big players really have made us emotions.

It will grow anyway. It didn't reach the full potential yet.
Look back where we were just nine months ago.

You have a point, everyone can join in this technology. When big players join the party the price will surely goes up but this could create panic once this big players will dumps there coins to get their profits. They can manipulate the price at their own benefits.

I know without government the cryptocurrency can be wider spreading to all type of people.
But  imagine when government support crypto, i think it will be huge move in the market and can be more spreading the news easier and faster

I think volatility issue is the barrier for institutional money to come into bitcoin. It can be that once volatility is tackled,  money will follow or that once institutional money come in, there won't be much volatility.

Of course, the market needs new volumes for growth. Many thought that in spring new investors will bring large sums of money to the cryptocurrency market.
But it looks like the date is being postponed... Undecided

I think that we need volume and, accordingly, we need large investments. Then the market will revive, trade will enterto the active phase and coins prices will start to grow.

Just print some more Thether. Or wait for the global the slowly accumulate.
Every year we see a good average increase in price. to top the, the industry and bank orginizations are also starting to adopt it. Even investing.com started showing the graph on their frontpage for crypto today. even after the massive increase over the last years. Theres still mostly positive signs for crypto future.
