I think you shouldn't be biased and look for ''under 1$'', you should look at the marketcap and what the project does. Anyway I can tell you to look into Universa (UTNP)

There's a lot of coins to be considered but if you only want one coin to be mentioned it should be XRP.

Ok, I'll take your last words, and I will recommend you only one coin. And it is cheaper than $1.
This coin is BitWhite. This is coin(not fork, it is running on its own blockchain) based on DPoS algorythm. There are 100 delegates, and by voting delegates you can gain reward by participating in network without running your own node. Simple as is, and that is cool. Also it has really low supply(60m total, market has only 30m) and now it costs around 0.1. So it can easily grow till $1 and you will make 50 000 from 5 000, and this is in short term. So get a closer look on this coin

Credits looks good, And another choice just like tomo and lala. But it seems lala will be listed in 3 exchange sites soon. I will try to predict about early hype for lala. But i guess, you have known about what risk will be involved if you are centralized your amount into one coin. I just mention some coins that have potential to growth at least for short term to give you another profit.
