Thanks to merit system...i have lost all hopes now to rank up any way close to Sr.Member or even Full member ever...i think the users like me are in huge disadvantage now...because i dont think many users care about giving merit to anyone...i think if givers are 10 and recievers are thousands or even more in the ratio..even if some day i get lucky and some one give me merit...it will take many decades to reach Sr.Member like that...
Also the fact that a user can give only half the merit he recieved and all those concepts i think are huge disadvantage for a user like me...
I know this issue has been raised many times and i shared my feeling which is this is really unfair for all the users like me

Quit whining, and start learning, eh? What do you need to "Rank up" for? To make money? Then you are in the wrong place. Go get a job. This place is for sharing information and learning, not shitposting garbage for satoshis.

So, no, you don't need to get lucky to receive merit, you need write constructive/good quality posts to receive merits.

Well you points makes sense but still i have been able to make some good profits in some recent ICOs specially when you are able to invest in the Pre-ICO with huge discounts...most of the time i end up in the profit

No i dont think so and rather i will say bitcoin trading would be best thing for them because after retired they will be free and i am sure some of those would love to spend time in bitcoin and crypto trading

It's not technically impossible but has probably become very difficult for you, but you seem to be missing the point of the activity system as it was created to prevent people exactly like you from just making lazy posts over x amount of time just to rank up. It's clear that you are not proficient in English so I would consider sticking to your local language board as you will probably have a much better chance of expressing/articulating yourself and getting merit there.

6 months ago you didn't know about this place. So pretend you didn't find it now, spend 6 months working on your English and do not log into the forum, only use it for reading. When you come back in 6 months you will of improved your Bitcoin knowledge and improved your English.. win win and then you will get merits. Or ignore me and continue down an impossible road of ranking up as you are now, your choice

Even if you are posting quality posts a few of them will be missed, but once there is a few hundred merit sources or however many of needed to cover the forum everyone who posts decent content should be noticed and merited appropriately.

Look, there are a LOT of members, Sr. Members, Full Members and even legendary that don't know anything about bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency. They have tons of sMerit to give, and they can give to you if you show some knowledge or help them.

I was amazed how people with accounts from 2013, 2014 don't know very basic stuff. I am in cryptocurrency for only a year but I was amazed by the technology and the market, and I am eager to learn since day one. I am sad that I spent most of my time in Reddit and didn't create an account here before.

I believe that even if you don't know much, there are some things you know that can help many people. Maybe even a good question can earn some merit

There are many Legendary, Heroes etc with good heart and they award good posts.
Maybe you help some newbie, and a Legendary with tons of merit likes your post and gives you some sMerit.

But you need to try. Need to look for real uses for this forum.

Sad to say but yes , by that kind of attitude a decade may not be enough. Upon seeing this type of posts I can easily say that the merit system actually starting to solve the signature campaign problems. 

You can start checking the forum and see how a lower rank user are making strategies which is actually helping them to learn because they don't choice.

Now I may not be in the position to say this but if your primary goal is just to join in the signature campaign to earn then you being here is not a good choice

Your first target should be to achieve the member rank which requires only 10 merit points. You have got 0 so far and thus you are doing something wrong for sure. Please do not spend your energy on wrong things. You are wasting time on something you cannot control i.e change in the forum rules. I am sure that the admin will make necessary changes to the merit system if he feels like. Based on the past threads making similar complaints like the one you made, I think it will take at least 5-r months.

I know that the merit system can be quite intimidating for lower ranked members due to the fact that members like you are new, and that maybe the chances of receiving merits may be low. However, if the reason you're in this forum is to learn and share your opinions with regards to cryptocurrency, then the merit system should be the least of your priorities. You are here for a reason, and some members here does not even mind getting merits at all. Maybe if you change your perspective, you wouldn't have to feel that the merit system is not in your favor. Let's all move forward.

It didn't became impossible it just made the process longer. Before the merit system our ranks are based on how long our accounts are created in the forum. Which means in just little as 120-134 days you can be a full member, with this process a lot of account farmers have took advantage of the system where they created new accounts and only wait for several months for it to rank up. In that process it created a lot of spammy post and a lot of garbage in the community, all in the name of earning money from alts joining sig campaigns to account selling.

Now with the new merit system we are forced to create post with quality and hopefully other members will take notice that your post is either helpful or informative. By having the merit system it surely has made account farming and several abuses unappealing for a lot of users. Hopefully this system will have a good effect in the long term for the community.
