Did you lose ALL 24 words... or just one word (the 24th word)? Huh

If you lost ALL of them... you're out of luck... if you've also lost the ledger device or it has been wiped, there is no recovery Undecided

If you just lost one word, you can VERY easily find it... even if you try it manually, it's only 2048 possible words! Tongue Seriously tho... if it is just one word, you can use the "seedrecover.py" that comes as part of btcrecover... it will recover your missing word in seconds. You just need to know one bitcoin address from your ledger.

Possibly... unfortunately, seedrecover requires that you know a BTC (or ETH) address Undecided

The code can probably be modified to work with DOGE, but might require some hacking to get it to work... Alternatively, I have another script that will find all the valid seeds (using 23 words + 1 missing) and generate lists of addresses that can be searched through looking for a match.

Again, this script usually generates BTC addresses, but should be fairly easy to modify to generate DOGE addresses... I'll experiment and let you know.

EDIT: Think I've managed to modify the script for DOGE... I've sent you a PM.

.. but if you still have access to you Ledger Nano S I do not see any problem ..

OP mentioned he already tried to unlock his nano s 3 times without any luck. It got reset.

..and yes the ledger deleted everything because i typed the wrong password pin 3 times..

The method mentioned by HCP is probably the fastest.
Shouln't be too hard to find 1 missing word. Especially since not every word is possible for a valid seed (last word is a checksum).

It should be noted that the last word is "partially" a checksum... the way the seed is "broken up" is into 11bits chunks... 11 bits = 2048... hence 2048 words.

As per BIP39 (https://github.com/bitcoin/bips/blob/master/bip-0039.mediawiki#generating-the-mnemonic), you start with Entropy which is 128 to 256 bits... and divide that by 32 to get checksum length... in the case of the Ledger, they use 256 bits... so checksum length is only 8 bits... but the last word is 11 bits of info... so it's actually partially data/partially checksum.

This is why, even with just the last word missing there are still multiple "valid" combinations... as (for a 24 word mnemonic) the last word will have 3 bits at the beginning which are data... and generate up to 8 different values which will generate 8 different words.

Issue has been resolved... my script found all the valid combinations (total of 8 ) and generated addresses in less than a minute, was short work to find the correct combination by searching generated addresses for one of the OPs old addresses...

So, funds have now been recovered. Smiley

Do you remember the pin code?
If you lost 24 words and a PIN code - you lost everything.
