I was trying to find some Block Erupter technical specifications. Specifically the normal operating temperature, temperature ranges, and wattage consumption?

The best I have found is the wattage usage of 2.55watts. Is there a technical paper on them?

Why would you want to find that?
Do you think they run too hot?

Anyway, just take a look at the differend chips and just google them, you are most likley to find what you need in a technical decumentation of the chip.

I'd like to put a peltier unit on the heatsink and power it via USB port. I was trying to determine the Q maximum wattage of peltier I would need. I have found one or two that might work.

http://www.tetech.com/Peltier-Thermoelectric-Cooler-Modules/Standard/TE-63-1.4-1.5.html Theres one that is 20mm by 40mm and 29 QMax, though its much more cooling that 2.5 watt, so I was hoping to lowball the TEC on amperage and get a big heatsink for the back of it.

Yes I know its stupid, won't get me anything, etc. But as we all know BE's are hobbies now.

Are you swapping out the crystals and overclocking them?

If not, strapping it to a larger heatsink is more than sufficient for passive cooling.

I'd love to try and overclock it, I've found a few guides online, the first is the most comprehensive.

It looks semi, indepth but something I could manage. Though I don't have all the tools. I could get the electrical components at Radio Shack I bet though.

But I decided on the cooling first (less destructive) before I get into the OC'ing. I've always liked TEC's but never had one, just wanted to play with it.
