Quote
If your Country bans Bitcoin, transfer your Bitcoin to a wallet of a foreign country (Coinbase operates in 32 countries). If you want to cash in, then use third party services like Virwox to get USD in Paypal, then use Paypal to get cash in your local currency.

Bitcoin is like Torrent, peer to peer and you can’t block it. If you have access to internet, You can use Bitcoin anytime, anywhere!

Looking at the decentralized nature of crypto-currencies,Wonder if govt bans Bitcoins in future??Is it possible let's say by blocking all sites which relate to Bitcoin wallets/payments etc over the internet. In that case what would happen to our existing coins held in those wallets??

If governments ban Bitcoin that will be a huge lose for many users all over the world because the investments they have done in Bitcoin market is very large and many people would stand against those decisions if the governments decided to do such things so it is very unlikely to happen anytime and also governments know how big the crypto community is so there is no possible way to ban Bitcoin or most other crypto currencies

They can't boycott it however they can keep crypto from extending by making it harder for individuals to purchase or pull back cash from crypto. Individuals can even now utilize their crypto yet in the event that they can't pull back it to fiat then the vast majority will abandon it. At the present time there's solitary a couple of spots that acknowledge crypto

First of all, it's impossible. Secondly-people just make new sites and we will use them.

The governments of some progressive countries are currently in a messy situation financially and they will need bitcoin to solve it whether they like it or not. So I don't really believe that governments like USA that will ban bitcoin for the rest of our lives.
but the government sees it from a negative side not seeing that bitcoin can be a trouble solver for the economy of their society. the government only sees that bitcoin is a threat to them, it is very possible that they ban bitcoin., including my country. but it's not an obstacle to using bitcoin right?

I have not seen any possibility of bitcoin being banned by government. The reason is that the people behind blockchain technology are one of the greatest brains in the world. Blockchain technology is so solid and well programmed. Again considering  the decentralised nature of blockchain technology and crypto currencies, it is going to be difficult for government to ban Bitcoin.

I don't think it's possible the government will ban bitcoin because there are too many investors there.

In my view national governments can only limit the influence of Bitcoin. There is no law that strictly prohibits Bitcoin and Bitcoin's activities as self-trading individuals that can not control the purchase and sale. Bitcoin is a global trend so it can not be easily banned. Even governments are using Blockchain technology in relation to Bitcoin. So we are not too worried.

The government can ban a bitcoin but physically they will not be able to do it. It is very independent and private. Even if they will ban some websites or services you can always reach them using other software and they will never find out about it. So basically they can't restrict your freedom here.

I can not imagine my life if the government forbids bitokoyn. But I think that there is still no need to panic. because it will certainly spread to the whole world. I can not imagine my life if the government forbids bitokoyn.

The government can only ban bitcoin if they have full control over it.
What I' m saying is this....it will be difficult ,almost impossible for government to ban bitcoin because of its decentralized structure.

well, I'm sure the price will decrease. it happens when china bans bitcoin. well, although the price is not so falling, but I think if other big countries banned bitcoin like japan, of course it will make the price fall, and less trust. Grin Grin

Bitcoin ban is very unlikely to be happen because people and governments attitude towards digital or virtual currencies are changing rapidly because they are understanding the advantages that can gain by using Bitcoin or other crypto currencies to there advantage for better effectiveness and deficiency

Looking at the current trend in the financial market, the future of cryptocurrency is very bright. That would absolutely include Bitcoin. The governments used to be hardliners against the cryptocurrency innovation but now they are starting to adapt to it. Even the decentralized feature of crypto is now beginning to appear attractive to several governments as they begin to allow the use and trade of Bitcoin and other cryptos in their jurisdictions.

It would be such an unfortunate move to the crypto world should governments ban Bitcoin. Most people have embraced crypto  and business are accepting it as a form of pay, if its Banned a lot will be affected, its however almost impossible as Governments world wide operate on different policies and some have already legalized it.

If the countries around the globe will ban BTC, then it would be the dead end of BTC and crypto as a whole.  But I doubt it if it will be totally banned. Politicians love money. If they saw huge money on it they will jump on it made a law/rule and declare themselves a hero.

If that should happen then those coins held up in wallets will become useless and obsolet, but come to think of it, why will the government ban bitcoin? the latest trends in economic advancement world over is cashless society and not even the government can stop this. So if this is to be actualized, if cashless society is to be achieved then we need introductions of more ico's to solve more real life problem using crypto currency not banning or eliminating the ones already in existence.

As we all know that bitcoin and crypto currency as a whole is decentralized and not easy to be controlled by anyone, the ban will only reduce investors participant but cant stop people from trading btc since its decentralized.
