Hi everyone,

I'm new to this forum (I think)... reason I am not sure is that a few years ago I was HEAVILY into BTC and mining.  That part of my life is a bit of a blur but I do remember using my old SET @ HOME boxes to mine - I did this pretty hardcore for a few months.  I got out of it when I got a new job and ended up losing my crypto and all my wallet information (I kinda just fell out of everything bitcoin).  Anyway - I just recently built a new btc site and wanted to buy a few bitcoins to get started (no time and no interest in trying to mine anymore).  I thought it would be quite simple and figured with the advancements of exchanges I'd have no problem.  wrong.  Multiple transactions were denied by Gox, coinbase, my bank, etc... I guess we're just not there yet.  Finally I ended up doing a cash transaction w/ localbitcoins.com.  Disappointing to say the least - I thought the world would be a little more accepting upon my return to the scene.

Looking forward to getting back into this (at least a little) - playing with my new website (it's gambling) and seeing what happens... if nothing else I'm honing my technical skills again and enjoying re-learning!

Sounds like you are pretty experienced with BTC. Can you send me a PM to your gambling site?

you might want to try to find/recover your old wallet.  I got restarted on bitcoin because I founf an old wallet that had 2BTC in it. which today is worth a lot more that the 97 cents I paid for them.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys!  I'm probably not as experienced as you think... I'm one of those ADHD people that learns a little about a lot.  I have spent over 25 years developing software then web apps and am an IA/Tech PM now but I don't go super deep into any one discipline.

I pm'd the site to b!z but don't want to seem like I am spamming so I am not gonna post it here.  Maybe after I've spent some time on this site and contributed a bit I'll post it in gambling.  Looking forward to some good discussions!
