Hi, I'm new here and also relatively new to alt-coins. I have a Coinpayment.net wallet and the last purchase I made timed out because there were no TX fees. I looked everywhere on how to add TX fees and there was no info even though Coinpayments checkout says "We recommend including a TX fee of at least 0.00014355 BTC for quick payment confirmation." I'm trying to make the same purchase again and am facing the same issue. I thought maybe I missed something during the process which I could correct this time.
I contacted CP and someone replied saying "You can only set a TX fee in certain wallets, if you don't see an option the one you are using most likely doesn't allow custom TX fees."
I'm totally confused. If I made a purchase using btc, then why is there no way for me to add a TX fee? It's just a waste of time. If anyone has any solution or recommendations, I could really use the help. I know I should use my own wallet but I haven't gotten there yet.
Thanks for any help.
If i'm reading this correctly; you're using a webwallet right? I'm not quite sure which one you are using, but it is completely dependant on the site to give you acces as to whether or not you can set your own fees.
If you can't set your own fees, i'd really recommend you to transfer all of your funds out into a wallet such as Electrum, where you control the keys, and no longer dependant on a 3rd party.
So basically sent all the funds to your own wallet without the fees, which might take a while, and then make the purchase with high fees using your new wallet. ( Electrum, Bitcoin Core).
