Yes and no... Yes if you just want to be a part of the community, but no since you will never reach return on investment...

Depends on why you want to buy them.

To make money off them? No you will probably NOT make back the BTC needed to buy them. The network Hash rate and Difficulty will make the payouts small and smaller over time.

As a hobby to try something new. Sure I think it's fun and while you may never get ALL your money back will get some. Which is more that you will get from paying for a 3D movie with giant popcorn and large soda. Will be more than couple of hours of entertainment as well.
