How do you guys feel about the idea of basic income given in a form of cryptocurrency?

Perhaps in third world countries coins like this can be quite substantial to the folks whom work for a measly 1$ a day. Receiving a basic income in coins that fluctuate in value for free at generous enough amounts could very much change their quality of lives.

I think it has the chance to work very well for the people of poorer countries. I believe in universal basic income simply because there should be no rich or poor. The wealthy few percentages of the entire population should not control the majority of the money, and the people all people should have what they need to survive.

For unaware folks check out these two attempts are creating a universal basic income for all people.

Tbh, there will always be poor and rich people. Because that's the sad truth about economy.

Because let's say currency didn't exist, and we all exchanged goods and services...

...there would be some of us who just sucked too much and couldn't provide wanted goods or services.

And those would be the poor people. The ones who couldn't contribute anything to society.

Then there would be the rich people -- the ones who were adept at providing the most demanded goods and services.

For some people it's not their fault that they can't provide goods or services, like the people who are too young (minors) or too old. Or the injured, or so on and so forth.

My point is, an ideal world where everyone has a comfortable amount of money can't exist. Because not everyone in society is useful.

How do your basic income alt work? Is it something that the world donates to so that everyone can get this altcoin daily? Because then it becomes a crypto charity, which is a neat idea.

But some people in the 3rd world don't have phones or internet... which would mean in order to receive this charity alt, you would have to be "rich" enough to afford internet...

it will not work only for the third world countries, i think it will do well in most economies to increase income levels and improve living standards in general, the problem however may arise as the employers will have hard time calculating the value of labor as the may increase or decrease in value

I think what you try to say is that you are a communist hooked on crypto Smiley

To answer your question: I don't see that this could work, people need to work and
the type of work will determine what people are willing to pay you.. thats how it always been and how its always going to be. So grow up get a job and work for your own wealth, and yes life is not fair.

Any people can do and learn easily by doing their job as a basic income but in Blockchain the people who doing this are the people that have a deep knowledge in online network and the blockchain technology through doing trading or investing so doing in blockchain is always associated education while in basic income any one can do even without education but about an income blockchain can make you a millioner in only a few months or less than that so the there is a big advantage in blockchain in terms of income.

If you fency free money (coins) try them out. I did. No strings attached and over time it sums up.

I am registered on Mannabase (Grantcoin before relaunch) for nearly two years now and they do a pretty good job. Read the whitepaper.

Do you know Mannabase?

Mannabase is a cryptocurrency that is distributed to people around the world as Universal Basic Income. Everyone is eligible. Weekly distribution. That means: free money every week for just signing up and verifying! I follow this project for two years now and its legit and they are working hard to make their vision reality! Just recently they had a big surge up in users after their rebranding from Grantcoin to Mannabase!

Use my referral link here to sign up for universal basic income! For free!

PS: For every verified new user you bring to the platform you get their weekly coins as a bonus for one year. Pretty awesome!

From the recent reviews about cryptocurrencies in the economy, this may not be a basic income for non-developpers in the poor countries. As a start, it's well enough to keep doing works for few dollars and earning some coins by doing small tasks as a secondary non-basic income. Even daily payment in some countries does not accross the board of 3 to 4 $, an airdrop distributing coins for 20$ will be a great amount but can't garantee to save this method as a basic income.
For sites above, early to make a judgement about their actual functionalities.
