Consider keeping big cryptocurrency sums in cold wallets - a technology of keeping Bitcoins offline on hard drives or even paper - off the Internet, so hackers will not be able to reach your funds.  On the contrary, the hot wallet is linked to the Internet. It should be used for everyday transactions and is like a checking account, whereas cold wallet may represent your savings account.

Consider examining decentralized exchanges. The difference between decentralized and centralized exchanges is that decentralized exchange does not store your funds. Nobody can gain access to your money except you.

Use only checked platforms (for example, Binance) and have a hard password with different signs. What is more, be careful and think about your future manipulations with money.

Use alpha numeric in creating your password ,and also use Google authenticator as your 2fa. Never allow your browser to save your password. Watch out for unsecure site.

Great suggstion using strong password and two factor authenticator (2fa) online exchange wallet are very safe but take note do not be comfortable even you are using safest way of security because the hacker are talented and they nothing impossible to them how to hack your investment always check your account to avoid hacking.

For all accounts, using long passwords and many character types will reduce the risk of hacking1
A second authentication step is very good supplement plan
Do not give anyone information about your account

You don't need some extra browser extension if you type needed link manually - for example exchange, no need to go to google every time, it is safer. And of course 2fa. But not by sms Smiley

Google authenticator does not guarantee 100% of your security. You can use the 2Fa key to further enhance your security. This will make it much more difficult for a hacker to work with your account.

Securing you wallet properly should be at the top of your priority list when it comes to being a crypto investor. Secure all your sensitive information relating to your wallet in a place where you know that no hackers can get to them. Especially your private keys because that is the most important thing when it comes to your wallet. You should make it a point to write a back up down on a paper and secure it.

It's not only with bitfinex but there are also famous crypto celebrities that are victims of this.

These scammers are imitating not exactly the names of these celebrities but they are putting some extra characters on their twitter names to make it look like.

If you are someone that's too greedy and read these announcements of giveaways and the only requirement to be eligible is to send them some ETH first, don't believe in such giveaways.

And another one, if someone asks your private keys, exchange accounts don't ever give them any information.

To protect your account:
+ Use passwords that include special characters
+ Email protection and double layer security
Should use anti-virus software on the computer (updated regularly)
Otherwise, depending on your ability!

The best way for you to secure your account is for you to make sure that things like your pass phrase, your private keys, emails and passwords associated with your account is stored in a place where you know that no one else can get to it except you. Do not store them online where hackers can get to them
