The whitepaper has all the detail, but the first stage is to develop the video tracking and indexing system. Transactional system done.

I do not think that this project is able to replace Youtube. I remember that Steemit was a Facebook killer, but nothing of the sort happened and there are not even any attempts for this.

I agree. That's because Steemit is too complicated for most of users.
As far as I understand this they want to somehow integrate into youtube and give their users additional earning.
