Hello all,

Forum lurker here. I'm relatively new to Bitcoin. I started mining in March, and FINALLY got my first ASIC miner a couple weeks ago (boo hiss BFL). In the meantime I've explored altcoins, including LTC, FTC, XPM, and GDC.

My question is, where's the best place to go to get the most up to date info on mining developments? Example, will there ever be a GPU XPM miner? Do I just search the forums?

Thanks

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

Welcome to the forums! I guess the best place to find semi-recent news is the mining section of this forum...

You should probably stick with altcoins cause btc's difficulty is through the roof.

Check the altcoin topic, or go directly to the altcoin forum if available.

This forum, go to alt-currency and look for one of the post. I remember them saying close to completing the GPU XPM program.
