Suspicious traffic was generated by the malware, when the coinminer tried to contact its command and control server located on the Namecoin network infrastructure. The malicious software was programmed to mine Electroneum. So are you safe from malware..?

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

Your software program vulnerability factor is exciting. I assume open supply publicises its weaknesses to all folks that can spot vulnerable code, but then again open source developers probably get hold of billions in tax-deductible donations from multinational enterprises that depend on open source operating structures, net servers, databases and mail servers.

I do not download anything to my mining rigs.  Everything is imported via USB stick from another computer.  I do not log in to any websites on my mining rigs, no email, no anything.  They are used strictly for mining.  This reduces my overall exposure to malware.

Crypto coiners are the more severe for OCD worry. this is the destiny in the event that they persist pushing a stupid crypto foreign money dream. In truth it's a silly idea because of such a lot of reasons, consisting of however now not constrained to crashes and different coin losses, hacking, gradual system standards, too complicated.

As bad as the malware is, CoinHive is even worse because it runs in your web browser and very few people try to surf the web with Javascript disabled these days. Even legitimate sites like Salon are using it to supplement ad revenue. Obviously there are many factors that are decreasing the profitability of cryptomining, but cryptojacking definitely isn't helping.
