As we seen today, and with other coins previous, theres scammers posing as coin developers, to get unsuspecting users to download viruses, wallet stealers, and backdoors thinking its a coin update.

 todays scum was somone "8hobits" had a link to a new version of Grandcoin. The post had 96 views before i noticed and raised the scam alert, so probably quite a few people downloaded it.

This however was NOT the official software.

only download from http://grandcoin.org

If you did download it, report here what it has done to your system
Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

wow, unbelievable. Looks like people try to steal wallets... beware and only download from official website or launching thread.

It's happened with CGB before - someone launched "CGB 2.0" and many people downloaded it before it was removed. What made it slightly more convincing, IIRC, is that someone with the name of "CryptogenicBullion" posted it.
