Cryptocurrency mining specialist Bitmain may be quietly developing new facilities in America's Pacific Northwest, documents suggest.

While nothing has been stated publicly by Bitmain, the bitcoin mining hardware producer appears be connected to a new company called Ant Creek, LLC, that, reports say, is trying to build mining facilities in Washington state.

Grow the value of what? Bitmain company?
I don't understand why would they want to mine in the USA when they have cheaper electricity in China or Kazahstan or Russia.
Maybe they will just produce miners there, or just have research and development.

They want to decentralize their operations so they do not get so dependent on China's uncertainties. Even more now that it has been confirmed that China will have a dictator in power, being able to compete as many elections as he wants, not just the party.

In addition, with US operations they may have access to more financial options to grow even more and make it difficult for other companies to operate in this industry.

I guess they want to diversify, with China's uncertainty, no one wants only bet there. So it is natural they do this.
