I started building a 5 card (RX570)) rig with the idea being I would expand it once I got it up and running and learned a bit as this was my first attempt.  I'm using RX570's a Delta 2400W PSU with Breakout Boards (6 pin PCIe x12) Biwin SSD and I started with an Asus Prime Z270P MoBo and 8gb of RAM.  I have been unable to get the set up to work with the Delta PSU (Known good.... swapped it from an antminer to test and all worked fine with the S7) so I tried the set up with one card and a Corsair RMRX570 connection to PSU650.  While this fired up the MoBo it did nothing for the card.  In fact when I connected the card and turned on the PSU it clicked and shut down (Over draw or over load protection I assume?).  any way, I upgraded the PSU to an HX850 and changed to a new Asus B250 MoBo but again same result.  The system runs fine until the first of the 5 cards is plugged in and then it wont fire up.  I have searched and searched and I have yet to find a REALLY good setup guide for the delta powered system and I have yet to see a totally newbie guide to rig building the covers the micro details on the power supply hook up well.  I'm using 6-pin risers by the way.  So my question is what the hell am I doing wrong?  The powered riser is connected to the 6 pin peripheral & SATA plug on the PSU and the 8 pin plug on the top of the card has a 6+2 plug connected to the 6+2 section on the PSU via an 8 pin connector and I tried the 6+2 connected to a 6pin plugged into the breakout board on the Delta PSU and neither worked at all.

The 2400 watt PSU doesn't power your motherboard, right? Do you use the Corsair to power your motherboard and the 2400 watt to power the cards? Are you sure they are both on at the same time?

As for when you use the Corsair on the video cards and it does nothing or turns on then off real quick... I've seen this when you are using a cable on a PSU that is not for that PSU.... They are proprietary, I know it is stupid...

I tried using just the Delta to power the MB and the cards but it wouldn't even get the LED lights on the board to turn on.  This was done using a PICO board by the way to power the CPU and the MB which as I understand it is common.  That's when I gave up on the Delta and tried the Corsair.  When only plugged into the MB via 24 pin and CPU plugs the system fires up BIOS runs and SSD runs Ubuntu fine BUT once I shut down, add the RX570 to the equation and fire it back up it clicks like it's trying to turn on then shuts down right away and that was using both the cables that came with it AND the cables I got from Parallel Miners.

Have you tried just putting the GPU directly into the motherboard to eliminate a few variable to just see if it works?

no but i would still have to plug it into the PSU (top plug)?  I'll give it a go anyway and see what happens.

I've seen this before - when I mixed cables from different brands of PSU's.  The click is the give-away, it's preventing starting up due to a short.

I'd plug one card direct into the pci-e 16x slot, and try a PSU/cable combo that's known to go together.

(I tried mixing EVGA cables with a Rosewill PSU, same result, connectors are the same, pinouts at the PSU end are different).
