First person to tell me the next line in this sequence gets 0.2 BTC.

I'll keep adding extra lines until someone figures it out.

Code:
aaaaaaaaaa
aaaaaaaaaa
eororororo
aaaaaaaaaa
ororororor

Maybe easy, maybe hard, I'm not sure.

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

Some day i'm going to post one of these that's really easy. Everybody on this forum will be hashing it and stuff, but the real answer will be, like, subtract every other letter   Smiley

Do you guys use hashing everywhere? Roll Eyes I like hash functions, but do they really have to be in every game/quiz?

I guess I am used to sequences for casual users where you do some basic math with a repeating pattern... Anyway, I'm trying a more serious approach now Tongue

I like your thinking k98kurz

My best guess is:
t f t o r o r o r o

I have no idea what the A's do. Red herrings? But if you take them out, there's a strong diagonal pattern:

So maybe it ends up like this:

Am I on the right track?

I suspected decimals in base-26 (a=0, z=25) but I can find no pattern

a.aaaaaaaaaa -> 0
a.aaaaaaaaaa -> 0
a.eororororo -> 0.17555555555555 = 79/450
a.aaaaaaaaaa -> 0
a.ororororor -> 0.56444444444444 = 127/225
a.tororororo -> 0.75247863247863 or approx 2201/2925
a.ftorororor -> 0.22124917817225 or approx 1339/6052

You can guess as much as you like. It has nothing to do with bitcoin by the way.

I guess it's harder than I thought.

To make it easier, I'm adding a character at the start of each line that I originally had hidden, plus an extra line:

Code:
aaaaaaaaaaa
baaaaaaaaaa
ceororororo
daaaaaaaaaa
eororororor
ftororororo
gftorororor
hlaaaaaaaaa

Nope. By the way, there are exactly 26 lines, one for each letter of the alphabet.

Code:
aaaaaaaaaaa
baaaaaaaaaa
ceororororo
daaaaaaaaaa
eororororor
ftororororo
gftorororor
hlaaaaaaaaa
iaaaaaaaaaa
jtororororo
kororororor
laaaaaaaaaa
