Honestly i dont understand much of this, i think its very technical. But i guess the project plan and the purpose is clear to eliminate some of the factors that causes bitcoins roller coaster ride and to revive the economy. What else can i say, lets just wait for what the future holds for this project. goodluck to the dev team.

Difficulty of 144 million on a coin that is not traded in any volume?
8 blocks today? 3 Yesterday & day before 2 the day before that? Even with the 144 block average difficulty adjustment this is going to take a while.
I love to play around with a lot of alt / fork coins.
But this one is going to be hard to get back moving.

-Dave

I believe we will cope with this problem soon, difficulty will goes down slowly after several retargeting periods (9 blocks)
2 petahash attack during the day does not pass without a trace

Wait until you get to exchange or if large multipools add this coin. Eitherway new coins should choose very short retargetting periods.

OK I'll go with that theory.
Now, for my issue.
I'm running the Pool version with the getinfo RPC call. What name it is looking for, for the conf file?
I tried bitcon.conf since it wanted to be in the bitcoin directory, and that didn't work.
I tried bitcoin@cbc.conf and that did not work either.
I have setup pools before, so I am not flying blind but this one is just making me nuts.
Thanks,
Dave

It says that each wallet with a balance has 1 coin subtracted from it?

Does that mean if you have less than one bitcoin then you get 0 BCBC?

Yes, but we had a reason to do this.
Holders should come when the coin becomes popular.
Emission through mining is primary.

But that distribution model also forgoes a lot of potential to attract so many people with a balance of less 1 BTC. There are millions and millions of people with less than 1 BTC.

There are dozens of bitcoin clones, i don't believe that MANY holders react to their appearance now.

We consider birth-and-death of forks as evolutionary process and therefore should change different parameters, not only to which all are accustomed.

I understand that but you have the goal to bootstrap a community as easily and quickly as possible and excluding smaller balances works against that goal.

You guys really need a Discord Channel to help boost exposure to this, this coin has huge potential if it just get's some more exposure. Also a Discord will help pump the votes so we get into the exchanges quicker.

I can watch snapshot was taken using data of blocks on 11th December 2017 is that mean everyone having Bitcoins on that specific time automatically becomes eligible for forked coins ? Why for snapshot data of three months was used without prior announcement or there was some pre-announement before and I don't know.

No, there was no pre-announcement, we wanted to make a surprise. And we waited for a long time with the announcement, waited for market to stabilize.
But did not wait  Angry

This is quite weird. People know what they have in their wallet NOW, because they can check. But how would someone know which of their BTC addresses were containing BTC three months earlier? This difficulty will surely not help adoption.
However, I must say that the idea of removing Satoshi's coins in quite funny, I'va too always thought at that Sword of Damocles as a major problem nobody want to see.

It's debatable of course that Satoshi owns so many Bitcoins, but are you sure that no large organization owns close to as many Bitcoins as Satoshi? We can't know and I think there is a possibility that concentration of ownership in Bitcoin is already high regardless of Satoshi's coins.
