Hi there,

In that jungle of alts, I first had the idea to split my invest on many alts and wait and see. But now that I get more interested in the projects, I rather want to split part of my invest in two or three alt that I will hold for a year or certainly more and follow the projects.

My first choice was EOS. I'll keep that one for sure.

Next is to chose between ADA and OMG.

My problem is I feel like all three projects are quite close in term of goal. Being the next blockchain, the fastest and cheapest in fee.

Is there one of ADA or OMG that is showing improvements that the other one (or EOS) don't have ?

Thanks.

Just do your own research and study each of their whitepaper and their roadmaps and it will be clearer.

As someone who has a decent grasp of all things Cardano, you can ask me any questions you want if you are in doubt.

The best thing is to divide the sum.
Cardano - more promising, but he will not make many XXXXXX

Thanks for both of your answers.

Yes I'm doing my own researches and that's why I came out with that short list. But at that point, even though the tech might not be fully the same it looks like all three projects are having the same goal. And the long term success will mainly be based on the marketing side, association with interesting partners and of course a good follow up on the tech dev that keep its promises.

Also, the world might be wide enough to keep all of them, as any market can keep competitors.

They are all good projects. But what would make ADA better ?

They don't have the same goal. Here is a good resource to start researching on coins. You can compare their algos scores that the platform has gathered based ontheir analysis. https://coincheckup.com

  • EOS is running on the Ethereum Blockchain, and has an centralised organisation structure. I cannot talk much about their project because I am not familiar with it.
  • OmiseGo also is a ERC20 token running on the Ethereum blockchain.
  • Cardano has its own blockchain, is semi-centralized, has a multi-layers architecture ideal for scaling and to avoid congestion, will be fully decentralised next month/May if all goes well, and plans to be the blockchain of blockchains later in the year /early 2019, by enabling blockchains to be able to talk to each other.

I can go on all day long about their project and quote you the multiple advantages of their elegant Haskell code, but if there are 2 things you should remember, it should be the following:

1) The IELE Virtual Machine (VM) they are building that will act as a universal translator for ANY K-defined language, K being a framework that they built (Here is the full list https://github.com/kframework) (Java, JavaScript, Python, Solidity, C etc...). What does it mean? It means that developers won't have to learn Solidity to be able to write smart contracts (SC). They will be able to write SC in the language they are the most comfortable with, and these SC will be translated by the IELE VM to be readable by the Haskell protocol...We're talking about Ultimate Compatibility here. It's beyond important for this industry.
If they succeed and that's why they hired Philip Wadler, the co-inventor of Haskell among other brilliant minds, how to put this, they will be considered as the go-to platform for Smart-Contracts. I would go as far as to say that Ethereum will look like a toy due to its limitations (and I am invested in Ethereum)

Note: IELE is built by RunTime Verification, which Cardano/IOHK funded. They have the NASA and DARPA as clients. https://runtimeverification.com/blog/?p=498
Runtime V are not exactly a bunch of kids in their garage like other coins.

2) Sidechains: Read this article to understand why Cardano will be considered the blockchain of blockchains, meaning that a BTC or a ETH or any other coin will be able to navigate on the Cardano blockchain....
https://bitcoinmagazine.com/articles/sidechains-why-these-researchers-think-they-solved-key-piece-puzzle/

Here is a more in-depth and technical explanation by Dionysis Zindros, an ex-Twitter genius now working for Cardano/IOHK https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=04D2BP33YI8

Cardano is just not in the same league as the coins you compared them to. It is in a league of its own.

CosmosX, I can't thank you enough for your answer. Definitely what I was looking for, information from someone who knows.

I'll read that carefully. It looks indeed very interesting.

For EOS, yes it's now running on ETH blockchain but the project is to have its own blockchain : https://blockgeeks.com/guides/eos-blockchain/   In June, all registred EOS accounts on the ETH blockchain will be migrated to the real EOS one.

I thought OmiseGO was going that way as well but I might be wrong. Apparently they decided to go with their own blockchain in a near future but I find it difficult to get accurate information, some also say it'll stay a plasma chain based on Ethereum.

Yeah, Cardano is, basically, just a currency right now. A lot of work to do... But, Shelly will be big!

All these three are good projects so best to own all three. EOS mainnet launch is in June so will go up into that date.

IMO, the three coins you have chosen are good and have potential. I suggest you to diversify and spilt your capital among the coins.
