Where do you guys get your extenders?

Is there a good US supplier for these? They are very inexpensive from China, but take a while to ship. Cablesaurus looks good, but more expensive and shipping from GB I think so it will still take a little while to ship to the US.

Search : pci extender and fire
A lot of the Chinese ones are extremely low quality and there are many posts of them catching fire and melting.
Remember you get what you pay for.

Thanks for the warning. The only incident of fire I could find is this:

I'm sure one has to be more careful buying direct from China, but many on this board have have reported success going this route. For example, in the thread below, people are reporting good luck with extenders from 9mart.com (2 for $4.50 and free shipping), and Vladimir says that he buys his extenders in bulk from China for $3 each; I imagine he uses quite a lot of these and probably would mention fires if he had any.

I'm not trying to knock Cablesaurus - from what I hear their extenders are top-quality, pre-cut (for the x1 --> x1), faster shipping, they have superb customer service, and accept BTC - all great reason to go with them. Still, as far as I can tell, if you are willing to wait longer (like 10-20 days), deal with potentially worse customer service, and do your own cutting, you can get non-flamey extenders that work fine for less.

Edit: Just to be clear, the 9mart cables are 2 for $9 - $4.50 ea.
