CBOE Bitcoin Futures contract expiration is this upcoming Wednesday?

It is my understanding that the CBOE Bitcoin Futures contract expiration is this upcoming Wednesday.
Can someone who knows about Bitcoin Futures explain what impact this will have on the BTC price.
It is my understanding that Bitcoin Futures are being shorted.
Would this mean that following the contract expiration the BTC price will sharply increase?

the first couple of them, when they expired there was some speculation that they can cause a dump and there was a dump during that time. but ever since the first ones there has been no dump and not much attention to any of them so i wouldn't look forward to anything at this point.
