Hi,

am not sure if this is the right section to post a thread, but i hope it is...

I have been mining for 2 months now with my 1080 Ti (Super Clocked) with nicehash exclusively, it used to make like 10$/day, but since few weeks back it wouldnt make more than 3$/day max, not sure why ?!? i know nicehash mines altcoins NOT BTC, (you only get paid in BTC) so is there is such a low demand for altcoins in the market these days or is nicehash not that good and effecient anymore or what is the deal exactly Huh  Huh

Id like to be able to make more than that since i invested 800$ on my liquid cooled 1080 Ti, any other applications or solution to simply make more money Huh...

Thanks,

There are a few factors influencing current NiceHash profitability. If you compare various altcoin prices today to their respective prices a few months ago, you'll see that all of them have dropped in value considerably, somewhere between 20-30% (ZEC's drop in value is probably most significant here, since it's based on the equihash algorithm which I think is often the most profitable to mine on 1080 Ti's). Bitcoin price has dropped considerably in the last few months, which further influences the profitability. Hopefully things will get back on track within a few months when alts recover!

this is the btc section op post should be in alt coin.

profits are down.
2 months ago profits were high.
it is like the tide  it rises and lowers in cycles.

I have 24 1080ti's  I liked it more when they were paying 6,7,8 a card.

But at 2 a card it is more then the power it costs.

24 cards sounds serious, unfortunately i dont have the time or the nerves to invest in such a build, what if i made such a build then nowadays earnings dropped to just 3$/day, then am in a deep sh*t Smiley

Over here in the UAE the maximum cost for power is 0.082 kWh, not cheap but i guess manageable, making 90$/mo and paying only 14$ for electricity is no big deal for me, am just worried BTC prices would go down under 9k/BTC, then that's a disaster Smiley !!....

Hey, if you're in Dubai, I have a rig with AMD FX 8120, 1 AMD 295X2, 1 AMD 7970, 16gb DDR3, 1000 watt PSU and a 256GB SSD. I'm moving, so I will probably need to sell it on the (very) cheap. Let me know if you're interested, I'm in Dubai Knowledge Village.
PS these are the stats crypto 2200/s, equ 930/s, neo 2500/s, could probably be optimized much better, but haven't had the time.

You're doing just fine, if you're not cashing out into fiat.  If you hold your crypto until the right time comes around to take some profit, none of this is going to matter.  Make your decisions based on what YOU personally believe in.

Ok, I want you to walk back in there and very calmly, very politely tell the risk assessors to fuck off! -Mark Baum
