Positive thinking in gambling is not going to help you win. To win, you just need some good strategies and the mindset to overcome greed. Positive thinking could somewhat help you to have a peace of mind but, that's not helpful to win this speculative game. It is true that thinking positive in gambling will help you to win in gambling because you will have more chance to have a good luck to win. Positive thinking will also help you to avoid greed in betting that is why you will have a less chance to get addicted.

One strategy I use in Blackjack is 1,1,2,2,4,6,10

At $5 a bet it would be:

bet 1 5$
bet 2 5$
bet 3 10$
bet 4 10$
bet 5 20$
bet 6 30$
bet 7 50$

I use this strategy in Blackjack I am sure it would work with other games as well, Not sure what it is called my dad showed me it, anyways you do each bet until you lose then you go back to you 1 bet

so with 100 dollar bets it would be 100,100,200,200,400,600,1000

lets say you win every hand but the x10, (or 7th bet)
at 100 a hand you would still be up 600$!!!!!

There is no holy grail strategy that you can use to win in gambling but playing smart will do. Yeah, limits and strategies are just temporary measures that give us more time to gamble, it is never perfect and ensure safety for us, we can lose everything at any time if the house creates the trap and we fall into it. Maybe positive thinking can help you a little bit but then you can't think positive if red streak comes to you. It will replace by anger, greediness until you have a green streak again. No matter how positive you are, you can't avoid red streak in gambling.
