The next difficulty increase is based on the average time to complete the blocks, so early on after an increase depending on luck it may report a much much higher difficultly increase. Look at it in 2 days.

You are right, it dropped down all of sudden.

That's funny the site now says the next estimate is 285,052,471 (+6%). I have seen it on Canada's Bitcoin Exchange as being 310 million ish (estimated). So we'll have to wait and see.

 By my own calculations thats a 82% rise per month for last 2 months. With so many more preorders out there and new hardware annoucements and people not realising they are buying paper weights you are completely right. Dont buy

Something is wrong with the site right now, the estimate should be 400 million..
