Alt was born on the basis of Btc and Ethe. So Alt is heavily dependent on the new Btc.Alt has more and more advantages that Btc does not have.

Is not only depends on BTC, but in the market, supply and demand of that coins. Like ETH I see it not depends on BTC market.
More investors buy and hold that coins is effect of that value coins also. And bad news will effect that price also.
