Diversify Your Cryptocurrency Portfolio - Altcoins for future

The experts generally agree that the future of cryptocurrencies is up in the air. It's still being written and we don't know where it will all go. Bitcoin may not be top dog forever. It would actually be quite surprising if it did! There are new innovations all the time and one of these innovations may render Bitcoin useless or irrelevant. To protect your investment it is advised to diversify across between 6 to 12 different cryptocurrencies. This way, if anything happens to Bitcoin you won't lose everything. Not only this, but it allows you to take advantage of some stellar returns on the newer, more speculative altcoins. As we all know Market is in the bearish trend now and its a awesome opportunity to diversify portfolio. If u are involved in cryptocurrency there are some undervalued altcoins which have good tech and future.

following are my favorite cryptocurrency

1. Bitcoin

Last year bitcoin crossed 19345$ on market and on of the most dominated cryptocurrency on CMC. Still there are massive number of people who don't know what cryptocurrencies are. When they do, the first they hear about is Bitcoin. If they were to invest, they would most likely invest in Bitcoin first and foremost. For this reason alone, I believe that Bitcoin is going to experience amazing growth in 2018.

1 Year Prediction: $50,000 USD

2. Ethereum

More than just a cryptocurrency, this is the premiere blockchain which processes Smart Contracts. Used extensively in ICOs. Has some issues, but there are very intelligent people working on solving them. Once people learn about Bitcoin, the next crypto they find out about is generally Ethereum. This alone will help prop up the price in 2018.
Current Price: $657 USD
1 Year Prediction: $2500 USD

3. Litecoin

This is one of the original Alt-Coins. I've been a huge fan of Litecoin since the early days. Let's compare it to Bitcoin. Litecoin is more innovative, faster and requires less electricity to mine compared to Bitcoin. Litecoin is designed to have four times as many coins as Bitcoin. It's much more practical as a medium of exchange than Bitcoin. It has been said that Litecoin is to Bitcoin as Silver is to Gold. It should probably be valued at at least 1/10th the price of Bitcoin but price doesn't always follow functionality. You have to take popularity into consideration too.

1 Year Prediction: $1000 USD

4. Monero

This one is a solid alt-coin as well. The main point is that Monero is way more anonymous than Bitcoin. This will obviously appeal to a certain demographic. In the past year it has increased in value by over 15x.
Current Price: $233 USD
1 Year Prediction: $850 US

I agree with NEO, put I prefer Walton to VEN.
For lower cap stuff I like IoT Chain and maybe WePower.

Definitely DYOR, but I think smart contracts, RFID and IoT will all be big, so it's just picking a good coin in those categories.

I'll bite.  The reason I prefer VEN over WTC is because of their target market.  VEN is for high end (seems like) while WTC is geared towards daily/regular items.  WTC has a potential to go bigger if adopted but I believe higher end products will need to adopt first (they can afford it).  If it succeed, then WTC may follow but not the other way around...I think (but I could be mistaken).   Factor in the price per coin and to me, the obvious better investment is VEN (for now).

For the record, I also hold WTC, just not as much as VEN, but that may change in a few months.

That is about exactly my top 4 cryptocurrencies, except for Ethereum, which is something like a late entry into my portfolio and probably below my top 5 holdings in terms of portfolio percentage. It is accurate to say that no one knows where crypto will end up, life is still long and so many hurdles to overcome but I think anyone who holds this good mix of payment currency (Litecoin), anonymous coin (Monero) and platform coin (Ethereum) is about as "safe" as it can become. Bitcoin of course holds the fortune for everyone else.

I don't know a lot about NEO , but everything I've seen looks promising. This is a Proof of Stake coin, so if we buy some NEO we can Stake and earn a dividend from it in terms of GAS which is awsome. Also there are lots on good projects are launching on NEO blockchain, NEO have a good future will study more on neo platform it's advantages and disadvantages

But if I were you I would also include a stablecoin in the portfolio. For having a safe option just in case.

It's up to you to decide which coins to add to your portfolio. And this is where you really need to have the skill of the talanted investor and your intuition. (Just joking, no intuition. Learn technical analysis)

The other coin with ICOs being released on it later this year is LISK. So good to hodl some of those as well, both will take a bite out of ethereum and do some serious growth this year.

I almost forgot about LISK actually, just checked now to see that my previous buy order on Bittrex actually never got filled (they remove orders now I believe if they are too long unfilled) which was good, since it's floundering like all other alts right now. Looks really good price in at 143k sats now. Just checked out their Twitter and at least it's still very active. Anyone think the new logo/mascot is a bit too cute, though? I'd almost say it deserves a place in that top 4 list OP puts out, but then I wouldn't even put in my Waves there.

People will not loose money if they don't sell their coins in panic mood. If u see Coinmarketcap historical data every coin go up and go down. If any one sells their coin there are people ready to buy. Market is down and it will recover soon in some time may be it will take month or more than a month but for sure it will recover. Cryptocurrecy is now covering majorlocation of world and lots of people's are now involving. When market is down one must be greedy to get profit. You are saying Bitcoin will not even cross 20k$, I bet you it will cross more than 20k$ in the end of 2018.

I like and believe in LTCs price prediction. They are moving in the right way and 1000$ by the end of this year seems to me realistic if the market will stabilize
