I have a hard time comprehending your question... Are you asking which wallet is the "best wallet"? In this case, there is no simple answer.
However, eventough there are dozens of wallets out there, i'd only recommand a handfull to somebody else.

1) i'd advise everybody to stay away from online wallets, exchanges or casino wallets... This discards most of the wallets out there. This negative advice also covers the immer so popular "blockchain.info" wallet (eventough in 5-10 minutes, i'm pretty sure several newbies will post that they recommend blockchain.info because they have 0.000001 BTC on this wallet for 2 weeks now, and they never had a problem). Rule of thumb: "if you're not the only one in controll of your private keys, you're not the only one in controll of your funds". 2FA, SSL,... It doesn't really matter, it reduces the odds of falling for a phising scam, but if the website ever goes bancrupt, gets hacked, turns scam,... you stand to lose everything.

2) If you don't hold a substantial amount of btc, a desktop wallet on a clean, secured PC usually suffices. If you have loads of diskspace and a lot of time to sync, i'd recommand bitcoin core or armory. If you don't have a lot of diskspace or a lot of time, i'd recommand electrum.

3) If you hold a substantial amount of btc, i'd suggest using a hardware wallet, i'm a fan of ledger and trezor.

4) if, for some reason, you hold a substantial amount of btc but can't (or won't) buy a hardware wallet , learn to create a paper wallet in the correct way

5) an airgapped wallet also works, altough you'll need a spare pc that never goes online. Tutorials for setting up core and electrum can be found using google.

6) a mobile wallet should only be used for pocket change (in my opinion). There are a couple older mobile wallets like coinomi, but since i seldomly use them, i can't really recommand any.

It depends on your convenient because I like hardware wallet but someone like desktop wallet. I think both are same secured wallet so you only choose your convenience and most of the experts are suggest to hardware wallet it is highly protected wallet no one should hack your account.

Apparently, i was still editing my post while you were replying, but even in the post i quoted i already advised AGAINST online wallets. This defenatly includes blockchain.info.

MEW is safe IF you use it in combination with a hardware wallet, but i personally wouldn't use it by using a json file, entering a mnemonic or by entering a private key directly...

BTW: MEW = MyEtherWallet. You're in the bitcoin subforum, if you have extra questions about MEW, i'd suggest you asked them in the altcoin subforum, that way you'll get more to-the-point answers.

Exactly like i predicted, just a bit slower than i tought... It took a newbie about 25 minutes to recommand blockchain.info after i made a post explaining why it's a bad idear to use an online wallet (i even bolded this prediction to make sure people wouldn't just mis it).

I'm actually pretty good at predicting the future. My next prediction is that by the end of the day, at least 5 more new members start posting in this thread, completely ignore every other reply in this thread and immediately say they adore blockchain.info

mocacinno may think here is another shitposting spam reply which is gonna recommend blockchain. No it's not, jackkun try to the read the post completely and then reply if you really need to. Just stick on to the first reply by mocacinno and here is a little addon for the wallets list which could help you in saving your money.

Never use blockchain as they are not even trustworthy nor fully doesn't support the new features. If you are really going to try web wallets go for green address as they are the first web wallet to support segwit address. Segwits start with 3 and it reduces your transaction fees to a lot.

Both the hardware wallets(trezor and nano ledger) supports segwit and also the classic Bitcoin core and electrum.
A paper segwit wallet could also be trustworthy as states above. Go for segwitaddress.org as they create paper wallets along with segwit support.

In addition to the best wallets as said above you learned a new concept today (segwit)

Am I talking too much about segwits in this forum No, I am just promoting segwits for newbies so that they won't fall in the trap of higher btc fees and complain the network

I use exodus and electrum as desktop wallets and myether wallet as an online wallet. I believe if only yourself holds the keys then the wallets are safe. I used to hold a small amount in coinbase but find they have high fees for transfer to a non-coinbase account.

I have been using Xapo for years to store coins for a long time. A very convenient wallet. But there are big problems with the work of the support service. If there is a problem then the time to solve it needs a lot. On the stock exchange, I bring the money only if I need to sell a few coins. Those who are concerned about the price of bitcoin transactions can use altcoins. It's much cheaper and faster.
