After Facebook, Google also plans to ban advertisements related to crypto currency. But some analyst says it for the better.
What are your thoughts?

https://www.cnbc.com/2018/03/14/bitcoin-falls-below-9000-after-google-bans-cryptocurrency-ads.html

In general I think it’s bad because cryptocurrency ads make more people aware of Bitcoin and altcoins. However, I understand why Facebook and Google took their stance in light of some ads for ICO’s that are risky and also because of some of the failures like Bitconnect. They are tryin to protect their customers but there are some really good coins, projects, and investment opportunities out there that are now unable to advertise.
True guy, I agree!
In the initial process, this prohibition will result in lower bitcoin prices in the market. But if this ban is meant to protect people from scam ICO projects, I do not mind the decision of Google and Facebook. We are optimistic that in the end, bitcoin prices will rise again to the surface.

These bans are not that good. Not at all. So much people are losing more money because of this. This manipulation must end. We must start a new waive of innovations for the crypto community.

Google is a horrible company

The only good thing about them is the search engine

Chrome? Is for newbies and people who doesnt know/care about features. Its almost like a malware, 9 out of 10 programs I download wants to install this horrible browser if I dont check off the box. Its so bad they have to do this
Google+? Does that even exist?
Youtube? With at least 4 ads on every video, no thanks
Cellphones? They had to sell Motorola to Lenovo because of the disaster they did

And the list goes on, I could be all day

Everything Google touches get destroyed. I cant believe they have "the best programmers and engineers" they suck, they cant do anything right

The effect of the news that Google will ban bitcoin ads is not able to make the bitcoin slump because until now bitcoin still able to stay above the price of $ 8k more. However, this FUD is really used by bitcoin billionaires to aggravate market conditions in the meantime and they can buy bitcoin back at cheap prices from the decline that occurs by the FUD's influence.

This could be a good thing in my opinion. Most of the ads I've been seeing are either:

a) scammy ICO investments or
b) phishing wallets/exchanges pretending to be the real thing

In the case of b specifically, I often see lots of examples of users being duped around Bitcointalk. Most of these ads just give crypto a bad name. This ban removes at least one way scammers dupe people. I'm not against it.

I dont know but i think google same as the banks are afraid of bitcoin, i really dont know how this will affect them though. But on the other side i think this can be good news as well. The more people know about bitcoin a lot of people will join.

I am seeing more ads about crypto currencies and ICO on google platforms but if they ban them it is just a loss for the google and it can help the investors to be away from scammy ICOs,But still bitcointalk is the biggest platform for advertise about crypto currencies so their ban may not give big impact of the crypto prices.

This is for the better over the long term and the FUD over this announcement is just that.

What these platforms are banning is mainly the ICO advertisements, and for every 1 legitimate ICO there are probably 20 scam ones. If your first exposure to crypto is getting scammed by a fraudulent ICO you will probably walk away with a negative view and may leave the space completely. So from this viewpoint getting rid of some of the bad aspects of the crypto space is a good thing long-term.

However, like most such announcements the spinsters will try and make this look all bad to serve their agenda, which lately seems to be to spread as much FUD as possible to drive coins prices further down.
This what I said to my other posts with similar topic. This is just a simple FUD. Since people are easily swayed by these FUDs then it might drag BTC's price down so this would be great time to buy especially those responsible of spreading this.

This is alarming. Why they are doing this to cryptocurrency? It is a very helpful investment to many people. It provides alternative income to people like me who is working like a slave yet very low salary. Google, facebook, youtube, blogs are related to each other. One company only own this famous sites. If this continues, then it would be a survival of the fittest.

If we are using crypto currency as an investment purpose then you are using it wrong. ::)Crypto currency was found to be used as currency but the peole using all the coins just to make money so if continues to do then crypto currencies may not survive too long.

Google has nothing to do with the crypto market, the problem is only for the new crypto currencies ICO sale.

these are all irrelevant to bitcoin. Facebook bans, Google bans, even government bans on cryptocurrencies should not even affect bitcoin price. and if it does that just proves that people who never understood bitcoin are not exiting by selling their precious coins. which is actually a good thing. we don't want people who don't understand bitcoin to hold any of it. let the rest of us who do, hold a larger amount as the price drops. in a couple of years they will come back begging us to sell them something as the price is above $1 mil Wink

If you look at these news from a different point of view...
FB and Google are trusted by the average people, so they have to be careful what they offer for people, who don't have a clue about cryptos and ICOs. If they offer them scammy ICOs they will blame these giants. On the other hand, I think they both planning to implement some blockchain based solution for themselves (a centralized one, to be in control) and if they lead people to scam ICOs before they are able to implement their own coin, they will lose the benefits of it, because people won't trust these coins at all anymore.

Right! Google and facebook have banned all forms of advertising bitcoin - electronic currency is very much known today. But the bitcoin itself is still growing strongly based on the investor it more or less. It's just like a stock market, erratic prices, up and down quickly. Should bitcoin participants understand it.

This news will probably going to have a good and bad effects, it will be good because those scam startup companies or ICOs will not be able to advertise their trash projects through google's ad words advertising anymore and that is a big thing because google is one of the biggest ad provider/publisher, I won't be shocked if youtube will be included on this cryptocurrency ban. And the bad news is google will also ban cryptocurrencies advertisements related to Bitcoin but I don't think this is the main reason why Bitcoin price is going down right now. But I'm sure it won't stop here, there are lots of ad providers where cryptocurrency ads are welcome.
