Other

- Promotional newcomer Dmitry Poberezhets was expected to face Mark Godbeer at this event. However, Poberezhets was forced to pull out from the card on January 25 due to injury and was replaced by fellow newcomer Dmitry Sonsovskiy on January 25.

- Rustam Khabilov was expected to face Kajan Johnson at this event. However, Khabilov pulled out of the fight on February 8 citing injury. Stevie Ray replaced Khabilov on February 8.

- Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos was scheduled to face Jack Marshman at the event. However, Zaleski pulled out of the fight on February 19 citing a knee injury. He was replaced by Brad Scott on February 26.

- On February 8, 2018, it was reported that the lightweight bout between Nasrat Haqparast and Alex Reyes was cancelled as Reyes pulled out due to injury. On March 12, it was reported that Cage Warriors featherweight champion Nad Narimani will fight Nasrat Haqparast.

I am very much interested to see what the career path of Fabricio Werdum would be,he is going for another title shot and he has a tough opponent in Aexander Volkov,but the problem with Volkov is that i have not seen him beat any championship caliber fighters in his career and so i am going with Werdum to win  the fight.
I am not sure about Jimi Manuwa as he is all talk and never performs well against top contenders,but Jan Blachowicz lost to Jimi Manuwa earlier and i am not sure why this fight was made in the first place may be to please the home town fans as the best earner for them Bisping is not fighting in this card they might have given the chance to Manuwa.
Another fighter i am interested in is Hakeem Dawodu .

@eaLity. Yes, as old as Fabricio is, he still wants to win the championship before he retires. It is good for his legacy in the sport and of course the money hehehe.

But he may have to face Francis Ngannou before he is given a chance to fight Stipe. That would be an excellent fight and a tougher match up for Francis than Fabricio, I reckon.

Watched the reply of his fight against Roy Nelson and I don't see anything special that will put Werdum in danger. Although he is long and has a good jab, I think Fabricio can withstand it, he is a pressure striker and very aggressive, Volkov will have his hands full here, But when the bell ends, I'm seeing Fabricio on top.

I am not sure about Jimi Manuwa as he is all talk and never performs well against top contenders,but Jan Blachowicz lost to Jimi Manuwa earlier and i am not sure why this fight was made in the first place may be to please the home town fans as the best earner for them Bisping is not fighting in this card they might have given the chance to Manuwa.

Hahaha. 100% agree. Its seems that Jimi can't back up those big mouth of his. It looks like that first match took place like 3 years ago and its a decision win for Jimi. I think they need someone local to be inserted in the fight to at least some ticket sells going. I also noticed that almost all of Jimi's win is inside England, so I think he will pull this one and please the hometown crowd.

I'm sure if Fabricio can win the game easily, coupled with the experience he has, I'll bet that Fabricio can win the game with T-KO. this will be an exciting match with Fabricio who will pursue the title

Volkov is +180 underdog tonight, and for those who have put bet on him congrats.

Sad though to see Fabricio lost this fight when he is already ahead. However, I might say that its not over till the final bell rings.

As for Manuwa vs  Blachowicz, this time Jan has his revenge and won UD. He KO Jimi in the first round but unable to finished him though.

Ah finally it's over...  On we go to what is obviously the sickest card of the year so far.  UFC 223.  Ferguson has been kicking metal pipes and elbowing metal stands as part of his training afaik.

I think he's going for a TKO via fight stoppage by cutting Khabib's eye or something.  Ferguson knows he has no chance if he goes toe to toe vs the bear.  Roar.

Volkov did not fall for Werdum's attempts at several straight kicks and that devastating drop kick he landed to one of his opponents in his last fight.
He just caught those kicks and held his leg up and just pushed him over like a kid.
Once he has him in this position couldn't he just have broke his leg with a straight fist into the side of his kneecap disabling him from fighting or is this action against UFC rules to do in what MMA fighting is known as a no-holds-barred fight

Same here. I thought that this is a just another step up fight for Werdum. However, when everything was going on his way, he was hit and down and wasn't able to get up. For me he just got lucky and I don't think that his performance will be enough. Stipe in on a different level now. He has improved a lot. If ever they face each other, I don't think that he can pull it off though. Stipe is too intelligent. Let see him fight Alistair O or even Francis N to be able to consider for the belt.

This is the most anticipated fight in the history of Lightweight division and we fight fans are waiting for this encounter for a very long time and this is fourth time this fight is scheduled and i really hope this will happen at last. Ferguson is really confident on the ground and he usually pulls guard most of the time but against Khabib he might get in trouble.

It was a heavy loss for Fabricio Werdum and it is difficult for him to get back to title contention now and this fight just proved again that Jimmy Manuwa is all talk and he is not champion caliber and yet again he proved he is having huge flaws in his technique.
